Writing this review after using it for good 1 month. I would simply say that this is the most satisfactory product I have purchased so far. It is really an interesting package, smaller in size with bigger features. Why should you buy it ? 1.Really good bass(especially indoors) 2.Nice sound range(Covers a typical room) 3.Compact(Easy to carry) 4.Metallic body(So less noise and better sound) 5.Bluetooth and AUX connectivity 6.FM Radio(good receiver) 7.Mic included(Wireless Mic) Why you shouldn't buy this ? 1.Less Playback time(3 hrs in Full volume) 2.Lower Bluetooth Range(Works within same room or straight 10 to 11 meters) 3.Do not work with latest version of Windows 10 if your Bluetooth driver is outdated(Though works well with AUX mode) Some tricks through you can make better use of this speaker 1.Put the speaker on a vibrating surface, like on laptop body or empty table. It will create vibrating effect to make sound more pleasant. 2.Connect it with your phone and command your Google's Assistant to do works, like playing Music (Maybe like Amazon's Echo). 3.Connect with laptop and use Cortana (If you know how to use it). 4.If you want to connect another device to the speaker then unpair the Bluetooth from previous device or you can simply Long press 'M' button on the speaker. 5.To play FM connect the given cable and long press middle PAUSE button. It will scan for stations first then save it automatically.(works without cable too)

Good product

This purchase really changed my perspective towards bluetooth speakers. I own several bluetooth speakers and every speaker, though well researched before purchase, came with some or the other flaw. This speaker's manufacturer seemed to have listened to the grievances of all the bluetooth lovers and attempted to produce a package which fulfils those on a tight budget. Please note, I purchased it for Rs. 800 (including sale and payment discounts); so my opinions may be slightly biased, considering the sub-1000 INR price bracket. It's going to a long one, so strap on and chug along! 1. Loudness: (5/5) Obviously, it's a 10W speaker. So the sheer amount of wattage is itself enough to beat its competitors in terms of raw decibels. The only 10W speaker which can beat this one in terms of loudness is POR 871. (And yes! POR 871 beats P10 wash with a significant recognizable margin!) Almost every other speaker within sub-2000 INR bracket fares lower. 2. Bass Production: (5/5) Punchy. Significantly more than any JBL, Logitech, Sony or Philips in the sub-3000 INR category; only beaten by POR 871. The bass radiator just mesmerizes me with its thump. However, I would have loved it more if it had two bass radiators; one on each side. That would have made the bass production more "symmetrical". 3. Mids and Highs: (4/5) Mid-Freq and High-Freq production can be graded as "very good" from my side. Obviously, JBL, Sony and Philips kill in this segment. If your music is instrument rich (eg. metal or psychedelic), at very high volumes, the main drivers (speakers) start to resonate with its own bass and takes a toll on the sound quality. Please note: This DOES NOT happen at lower volumes OR when the music is less rich in instruments (like rock,pop or classical). 4. Sound Quality: (4.9/5) In terms of quality, I haven't encountered anything better than JBL. But, this is ALMOST close to the JBL-level of perfection. 5. Battery Life: (5/5) Just wow. A 2000mAh battery quenches the thirst of this beast for a whooping 5 hour music-mania at 75% volume. Takes 2 hours to charge completely. 6. Ruggedness: (4/5) The brand claims it to be shock-res, water-res and dust-res, but is only rated for water resistance (IPX5). Still, even having having an IPX5 rated water-resistance is a significant leap ahead of its competitors. 7. Value for Money:(1000000/5) If you are ABLE to purchase it at a sub-1000 INR price, then there is just NOTHING which can beat this one in terms of VFM. JUST THE BEST AT THIS PRICE POINT. (I know the seller is notoriously changing the price every now and then).

This Photron mini boom box has a big design flaw and due to this sound distorts when you increase the volume. Otherwise, I would have rated it 4 star. This Photron speaker is not a flat on bed type, where the speaker faces upward with no boucing effect from any surface. But, this one is a standing style with 2 speakers on either sides. Now, on high volume if you place the speaker on a table, sound wave bouces up and create an interferance with the sound wave from the speaker that result in a turbulence & distortion of sound. To avoid this, you will have to place on something tall like over a glass or keep it hanging. Then the sound will be much clear. The overall quality of the sound is good, specially in low and mid volume range. The mids and lows are crisp and clear. The bass is not upto the mark. Please, if you are bass lover, I will suggest to avoid it, you will be disappointed. But, if you want to hear crisp & clear sound, then definitely go for it, you will not regret. With this price, it is really quite good. The bluetooth connectivity is impressive. I have tried with 2 different phones & I have no issues. Another thing buyers should keep it mind, there is no charger inside. Make sure you have 5V/1A charger. Using different input may damage the device. Luckily, I have the same specfication charger from Samsung Galaxy M10. So, this is the other reason for deducting another star. PROS: - Quality sound at mid and low volumes - Excellent mids and lows - Crisp and clear sound - Bluetooth connectivity is good - Battery life seems okay - Robust built, water resistance CONS - No charger - BASS is not great - High volume needs hanging or placing on a pole like mount to avoid sound distortion - Not cute looking

I was initially excited about this Bluetooth speaker due to its [positive quality, e.g., sleek design, good bass]. However, my experience has been extremely disappointing. After only 15 days of normal use, the speaker started producing a strange, distorted sound. I think that the paper cone inside the speaker has been torn. This is clearly a manufacturing defect, and I'm surprised to see such poor quality control from a reputable brand. I'm very disappointed with this product, and I hope the manufacturer will take responsibility for this issue. I'm requesting a replacement. I don't know how to claim the warranty and I am not able to find any phone number to contact.

This speaker from Portronics is excellent for its form factor and price range. Pros: 1. Portronics engineers have perfectly tuned the passive radiator inside a metal body, which results in very good bass, much higher than similar sized speakers without passive radiators. The bass is even better than some speakers with inadequately tuned passive radiators. It produces so much bass that at full volume, it moves on its own despite the rubber grip on which it rests. 2. At 10 watts RMS power, this speaker is loud enough for small rooms. 3. Frequency response is good. 4. Unlike many other Bluetooth speakers, the in-built microphone is actually usable. On calls, the other person has no issues in hearing my voice. 5. The body and looks are rugged. 6. With a 2000 mAh battery, it runs for several hours at medium volume. 7. In such a small form factor, you get 2x 5w speakers and a passive radiator, which is excellent. 8. The speaker is splash proof. 9. Customer care is very responsive. Cons: 1. Bluetooth range is a little bit lesser, but is not a deal breaker.

Build quality - - feels premium as it has metal body with good finishing and blinking blue lights at bottom Sound quality - - is good according to its price.But distortion occurs at high volume. Bass is just fine, just balaced. Battery life - - not so good. It had a 400mAh battery, it plays for 2 to 2.5 hrs on fm mode and sdcard mode at medium volume.for 600 rs you can't get much better than that. But you can replace the battery inside with a high capacity battery, as I did, replaced it with a 1000mAh. Don't try to do it yourself if you dont have basic knowledge about this kind of things Connectivity - - What more do you want? It has FM, Bluetooth, SD card slot(upto 4gb only), AUX connection. Edit: it's 2020 feb, more than one year of usage and it's it's not charging the battery properly thus battery backup is less than 1hr , else everything works fine but it's pretty useless now . Its 2021 now , its still working . Sound quality and volume decreased a lot , runs at 50% vol for 30-40mins now lol. But it still works . I think there are many better options now than buying this.
