Cambro (RFSCWC12135) Lid for 12, 18 & 22 qt Round Container - Camwear®

Heads up for anyone shopping Cambro lids: I originally ordered the RFSC12PP190 assuming it would fit my 18qt container and had to return it — it didn't fit. The RFSCWC12135 is the correct lid for the 18qt and fits perfectly. Once I had the right one it does exactly what a Cambro lid should — secure, airtight, and built to last. Just make sure you're matching the right lid to your container before ordering.

Lid fits great for a 22qt round cambro.

These are very high-quality lids. They are crystal clear and very stiff. They make good seal with Cambro 22 quart round containers. The only down side is the price, but polycarbonate is always pricy. On the whole I consider these an excellent item with an expected long life.

This review is for the 6 quart and 12 quart sizes. These are commercial-quality food storage containers that I use for preparing dough and pre-ferments for home baking. The 12 quart size is huge but the advantage is that you can knead and fold the dough right in the container. The 6 quart size is too small for that (at least for my hands). Polycarbonate is about as expensive as you can get for this type of container, but it is seemingly indestructible and it washes up easily. There is an added and unexpected benefit: you get a great view of your dough, or sourdough starter, or poolish, or whatever you have in it. It sounds silly, but getting a 3-D view of the dough is just plain better than looking at if from above. It doesn't make better bread, but it makes the baking experience more enjoyable. So, it you are prepared to pay top dollar (including paying extra for the lids), these are the containers to get.

I bought this after finding out that (the hard way!) that the lids that fit onto my translucent 12 and 22qt containers, don't fit onto the clear ones. Seems like a dumb design decision to me. These fit nicely. Cambro lids and containers seem to be almost indestructible in my home kitchen. I use the large ones to store various types of flour and other baking supplies and the smaller ones in the fridge. Absolutely no complaints!

I ordered my Cambro tub from staples and ordered this lid and it fits great, no issues! I had a hard time choosing since some reviews said some lids didn't fit right. But I assure you that this lid fits the tub you can order off staple's website. I got this to make bread with the FWSY cook book and it turned out amazing

Sturdy

Fix perfectly with my 12qrt unit. A biy expensive both lid and bowl but they are suppose to last a life time.

Works perfectly for the rising stage of bread making

I like it because it fits very well. The way it fits is fine for my breadmaking (fermenting dough). However the lid does not snap on tightly so that means it's not good for storage of perishables. As it works well for me I would buy it again.
