Garage replacement PIR for one previously installed 5 years ago that had stopped working for some reason. I fitted the Sebson PIR a couple of weeks ago, which was relatively easy to fit, and it works well. The quality appears better than the PIR it replaced. The timing setting feature works well. Given it was a bit of a punt, I'm more than happy with it.

I have already installed these in my outhouse and they work perfectly. They are very easy to install - just take care if (like us) you have some old wiring in your house and have a mix of red & black and brown and blue thanks to lazy previous owners in the property! I didn't have this problem in the outhouse as I built the lighting circuit from scratch, but in the main house this did mean I had to spend a lot of time working out which was the 'switched live'. I like that you can adjust the sensitivity and length of time the lights stay on for to strike a balance between energy saving and usefulness. It was this utility that made me buy a second pack; we have had lights with integrated PIR in our small bathroom but they just weren't sensitive enough to be truly useful and we were regularly left in the dark on the loo! This is where the upgrade to these sensors came in and the family love it. They love it so much they want me to install the remaining sensor in the master bathroom!

It works ok as a replacement for a similar pir that had been in our bathroom for about 7 years and started not timing out reliably . However this one, although it seems as sensitive, does have a longer delay before actually switching on. The previous one came on almost instantly, so 4 stars. Also it fits in a smaller hole in the ceiling so I had to get an adapter plate. It’s got the usual light level and time out adjustments. The existing wiring had to be modified to fit in the terminals.

Great product and super easy to install, just need to ensure you have enough cable spare. I did away with the wall switch and just had a permanent live neutral going to the ceiling light with this fitted inline. Detects movement very quickly and has lots of adjustments for ambient light and timings. If I wanted to find any negative I would say it’s quite big compared with other PIR sensors requiring a 57mm hole in the ceiling but it does make wiring it in far easier.

I'm an electrician and bought this for my own house, I usually wouldn't use such a cheap product but as it's in my own home it's not a problem if its rubbish. In fact so far I've found it excellent, easy installation and works perfectly. Admittedly it's in my small entrance hallway so not sure how good it would be in a larger room. Lux settings work well as does the timer. Definitely would recommend.

Works perfectly, good instructions

At first this device seemed to work OK in a washroom without any natural light e.g. total darkness with the door closed when light off. As soon as I opened the door it would trigger and switch the light on. However, it seems to be getting less sensitive - now I enter the washroom and almost have to close the door before it triggers meaning I am almost in 100% darkness for a couple of seconds. The LUX sensor has been adjusted to no avail. Not happy with the device which I have to class as unreliable.

Sensor was easy to fit using a standard ceiling light hole. Wiring was easy to extend from the existing light wiring loop. The sensor is very sensitive and kept switching on when people walked past the door so I have stuck a small piece of white tape over the sensor and it now works perfectly.

Provato per azionare lucí in un corridoio ed una piccola ventola di estrazione in bagno, in questo caso regolare la sensibilita' in modo che prescinda dalla luce ambiente, la scala dei tempi non e' molto precisa ma e' semplice trovare la regolazione desiderata con qualche prova, per il momento decisamente consigliato
