Will this fit the og hero hd?

If you're referring to Hero 1, 2, 3, or 4; You will need to have the Camera's Shell in order to attach it to the Chest mount. After Hero 5 I believe the norm would have the attachment flip out of the camera itself.

What length do the straps extend?

Shoulder 16 in without pulling and waist is 37 at Full extent

What is the maximum chest size ?

I don’t know in inches what the max is. The material is very elastic. I am 6’2”, 320 lbs and wear a size 60 sportcoat. I was able, with little difficulty, to put on the chest mount and wear it with the camera right over my chest bone
