Excellent piece of kit.
I've been looking for a reasonable controller for my heating for well over a year now, and finally I found one.The unit comes in 2 parts; One is a plug in adaptor which connects the appliance to a 13A power point; The other is a programmable screen that remotely switches on the adaptor using a wireless signal.A lot of thought has been used in creating this device, as it seems to cover nearly everything connected with controlling a heating system. The plug in adaptor is a simple uncomplicated device, with 3 indicator lights to show what its doing, and 2 buttons; One to manually switch on the device and the other to pair it with the controller. Its claimed to work up to 100Metres from the controller which I cannot dispute as it connects from anywhere in my house (including my garage) without any problem. The programmable controller has a large display which shows everything; Day, Time, Actual Temperature, Set Temperature, System Status (On,Off,Man/Auto etc). Its easy to read, and is backlit when pushing the buttons. It works on 2xAA batteries, so I don't know how long they will last before replacement: I assume quite a while as it only pulses a signal when switching. The unit comes pre-programmed with timed on/off settings at 21.5 degrees C and a setback temperature of 16.5 degrees C, which can be changed to suit individual requirements. I did struggle with the programming at first as the instruction manual is a bit pidgeon in places, but eventually got the hang of it.I do like the portability of the controller and cannot understand why no-one has done it before. I have a rooms in my home which are only used occasionally and I've found it really useful to move the controller from room to room.At the moment, I cannot fault this controller - An Excellent piece of Kit in my eyes.As I've only been using it for a week, I'll update this review in a few weeks.

Good piece of kit but not quite perfect
Good for controlling conservatory heating allowing the thermostat to be sited at eye level on one side of the room while the heater stays hidden away on the other side. Much better than using the heater's built-in thermostat/timer.It only gets 4 stars because:(a) it can only control a 10Amp load, limiting the electric heater choice to around 2.3kw. Would have been better if it could handle 13A and 3kw.(b) hiding the plug receiver behind a small sofa stops it reliably communicating with the thermostat (it keeps un-pairing) so the two units have to be able to "see" each other, despite only being 4m apart, which is a shame as the plug is as ugly as a baboon's backside and has two bright LEDs on it.Can't say how reliable it is as we've only been using it for a couple of weeks.Dead easy to program with very flexible timer options.

Good but online support no existent.
Works really well. Pairing the socket to the unit could be explained a bit better but worked it out eventually. Works well.I got 2 of these thinking I could control 2 plugs independantly however these work on the same frequency so they clash. Suppose I could have returned one but wasn't worth the hassle as I needed both plugs anyway. I did contact the company to see if there was a way this could be changed through there website but never got a reply... I'm not in the habit of bombing websites until I get a reply. Would have been 5 stars if they had at least made some effort to reply as the product itself works quite well.. maybe I'm being a bit harsh you can decide...

Memory Dump
Programming the unit is extremely time consuming and if you open the casing, the program memory is dumped! Don't buy any of this range if you don't want to put 45 quid in the bin - that's where mine went! Utter garbage!

Like a charm
Accurately controls the temp. No problem with signal between control unit / thermostat and receiver at power outlet. Nice interface. Love that you can recalibrate the temp yourself.I've tried a few plug in thermostats. Also heaters with built in thermostats. None could control the temp accurately in my 7 month old daughter's room. This is perfect.Only issue to consider - **not an issue with this product** - don't use with a heater that resets its max temp every time it powers off. The default temp on these heaters is typically quite low and that can be reached before the room is actually at the room temp you want. For example, I had a heater with a built in thermostat that defaulted to a max temp of 25 C after a power off. I would set the room temp on this wireless thermostat to 19 or 20 C. If the room was cold the wireless thermostat would switch the heater on, but the heater's thermostat would reach 25 C before the room was even at 19 C. So the heater would switch itself off and would have to cool down before it put out any more heat.I now use this wireless thermostat with a heater that remembers the temp you set, so I can set the heater to its max e.g. 35 C and it will happily put out heat until the room reaches 19 C, then the wireless thermostat will switch it off. Perfect. In a nutshell, you don't want the inaccurate thermostat built into your heater (close to heat source) fighting and overriding the very accurate remote wireless thermostat. To avoid that, you need a heater that a) can be set to a high cut-out heat and b) retains that setting after being powered off and on at the mains.
