During the course of a Pokémon's development, under certain circumstances specific to that Pokémon's species, it may evolve (Japanese: 進化 shinka) into a different Pokémon. This change is not merely physical, however, as Pokémon of a higher evolutionary stage have different (and usually more powerful) base stats than their predecessors, may have different moves that can be learned, and sometimes change their types, though usually at least one of the types of the previous form is preserved. Other statistics, such as Nature and EVs, as well as alternate coloration, are preserved. It is similar to metamorphosis.

Catch 'em ALL
My child had specifically asked Santa for Pignite, Tepig, and Emboar, and he got exactly what he was hoping for. I think all Pokemon figurines are a little strange and very over-priced, personally, but since I'm not the one playing with them I am perfectly satisfied with the joy these brought to my little one. They are authentic figures (as far as I or my little Pokemon consumer know, anyway), and they are made reasonably durably and with reasonable detail.

I got this for my 5 year old autistic grand daughter. She loves pokemon. She has so much fun playing with this toy. I am very happy with it.
