DJI Mavic Air Quadcopter with Remote Controller - Flame Red Max Flight Bundle with Spare Battery, and Custom Mavic Air Hard Shell Back Pack

This is an amazing mid-level drone with super flying abilities, mature software, and a super camera.I bought a couple of toy drones two years ago and found they were initially a challenge to control but soon I was soon able to keep them "within the lines". These inexpensive models didn't feature the GPS and anti-collision software that the Mavic Air does but I was able to learn the controls. Sort of like learning how to drive a car with a Corolla before stepping into a Corvette. I recommend before buying an $800 drone you try your hand on a $100 one.The Mavic Air flies very well. Follow the simple instructions or an on-line guide on YouTube and you'll be up an flying quickly. I recommend using the beginner mode for an hour while you get used to the controls. That mode limits how high and far the drone goes and slows the joystick response down.It took a few rounds of updates before the software was happy but once that was done I set a sensible maximum height and distance and started flying. The GPS system keeps the drone in the sky where you left it. Taking your hands off the controls the drone stops and hovers safely while you figure things out. Flying in the daytime the front, rear, and bottom collision sensors keeps you from crashing. The "radar" display shows green, yellow, and finally red as you approach an object and will automatically stop or even go around something in your way if you allow the software to do that.The camera is pretty amazing for it's size shooting very shareable still photos and movies. It will shoot 4K video but also more sensible 720 and 1080 YouTube and FaceBook sized video clips. Controlling the camera wasn't difficult with the 3-axis gimbal holding the camera stable as the drone moves. I flew in some 12-15 mph winds and the video was fine.Please do be a responsible drone owner and follow the rules, regulations, and common sense guidance about flying. Additional batteries and a carry case or backpack are the first two accessories I'd recommend.Happy flying!

I am a beginner in flying drones, and this was actually my first one. It is extremely easy to set up and more importantly it is easy to fly it. Of course the multiple youtube reviews helped but the learning curve is very fast.The (4K) video surprised me, it is beautiful. I am amazed at the stability of the drone in the air, even when there is a moderate wind. This translates in the video quality. The drone is well built and seems very sturdy.I strongly recommend it.

There are a lot of things to love about the Mavic Air and there are some quirks that you just have to figure out. I found that the drone has issues with connection to the remote when it doesn’t have an SD card installed or if the onboard 8Gb of memory is not frequently cleared. Follow me mode is somewhat flakey and I’ll have to work with it some more to find the optimal way to use it. Overall it is a fun drone with an excellent camera.

The Air is faster, seems to have a longer battery life, is much more responsive than the Spark, shoots 4k video, and is just amazing. Sure it's more expensive than the Spark, but it is completely worth it.

Used this drone for almost a year. 9 out of 10 times drone cannot take off, requiring recalibrating.Sometimes it takes two seconds to do it, sometimes I have to go through one battery just for calibration alone.If you consider buying it, save money and buy a higher grade model.

if you’re thinking of ordering this, do it. this little thing is so damn fun, it fits in a backpack and it’s so tiny. it’s super easy to fly, i had it out of beginner mode within 5 minutes mind you this is my first ever drone. it handles super good and the camera is really stable and clear. only issue i have is that the battery doesn’t last as long as i would like to be flying lol. other than that i definitely recommend this and get it out of the way and order the extra batteries ahead of time or you’re gonna be like me and regret it

Probably one of the best things that I've bought myself in years. Great videos, great pictures, super easy and fun to fly around. Great for beginners and pro's. Although you get about 18 minutes of flight time (I wish it was more), it's generally enough time to get those perfect shots. This doesn't feel cheap or like a toy at all. It's a durable little unit that should give years of use. Almost perfect.

DJI Mavic Air is an awesome drone. This bundle was a great deal which came with a second battery and a nice back pack. Wish it had a takeoff and landing pad. Drone is very stable, has an incredible camera and hauls as~ in sport mode. Go get yours!
