SteelStik Steel Reinforced Epoxy Putty Stick

Another save the day moment brought to you by J-B Weld. This product mixes easily and goes on with great control over where you put it. Roughed up the steel surface with a file and it stuck on there really well. Used it to create a tighter fit for a seat mount that had wallered out where the stem fit in. It was fully dried in an hour and I was able to ream it out to fit the taper of the stem using a Dremel bit. Worked perfectly and seems like it will last. Excellent product.

I love this stuff. It’s great to keep a stick in the garage for random reasons. I would say for nine jobs out of 10 that I’ve used it on over the years, it’s worked great.

Good product but need to mix by hand. No problem for me. Repaired the tip on a fishing rod and seems to be working.

I have been using this for years. It is probably in my opinion the best. I fixed a hole in an oil pan once with it. Had to really clean the surface cause it was oil but worked fantastic.

I saw a small crack on one of my garage door panels. The panels are steel and I didn't want to replace the door. I just wanted to stop the crack from getting larger. I was told about the J-B Weld 8267 SteelStik Steel Reinforced Epoxy Putty Stick. So I ordered it from Amazon and applied it to the crack. It was very easy to apply. It is water resistant. It worked perfectly. No more crack.

I'll be honest, I ordered this by accident when I thought I was buying "regular" two part clear epoxy. However, once it arrived, given I was looking to attach metal to metal anyway, I reckoned I would give it a go why not. Incredibly easy to use, as it's a two part putty that takes a few seconds to mix. Slightly strong smell, but many adhesives have that. Was able to hang multiple metal hooks on a metal bar in a matter of minutes, very simple to work, easy cleanup. Left overnight before putting weight on hooks - been two weeks and still holding strong. Highly recommend for any metal to metal joins.

We had a radiator leak from top and when we took it off the wall, we saw it was leaking from bottom. received this and applied to the top and botom and works absolutely well. and it heats the same level. This product can easily be used for products reaching as high as 150 degree heat. Very impressive loved it.

Una vez que elaborar la mezcla hay que utilizarla rápidamente para que no se endurezca, o seguir mezclando para mantenerlo blando, es el único punto muy a tener en cuenta. Tiene una gran resistencia una vez secado, pudiendo lijar encina si hace falta. Muy revomendable.

Entrega mucho antes, calidad muy buena, lo usé para colocar soportes para extintores de 2, 6 y 10 kilos y funcionó muy bien. Recomiendo lijar ambas partes, antes de colocar el material, dejé secar un día y listo.

Well written instructions that is easy to follow. Easy to apply. After about 6 weeks, I do not detect any evidence of any more leaks. Looks like it has worked well.

I've used various liquid metal and epoxy repair products over the years, but this SteelStik is one of the easiest to work with. Being a putty rather than a liquid, it's much simpler to mould, shape, and press into place, especially when repairing awkward shapes or filling gaps. Once mixed, it has a good working time and can be formed exactly where it's needed without running or dripping. After curing, it becomes extremely hard and feels very strong and durable. I've used it for automotive repairs and general workshop jobs where a strong metal-like repair was needed, and it's performed very well. It's particularly useful when you need to rebuild small areas, fill damaged sections, or make repairs that would be difficult with traditional liquid metal products. Overall, a versatile and very strong epoxy putty that's easier to use than liquid alternatives while still providing an excellent repair. Highly recommended
