Rand McNally - OverDryve 7 Pro Truck Navigation with 7" Display, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and Free Lifetime Maps (7PRO)

I have had 3 of these. First one was a refurbished unit, I thought maybe because it was abused, wrong, returned it and purchased this new unit. It had the same problems as the refurbished unit in the same amount of time! It gets green lines going horizontally randomly in the second week of being in the truck. I believe Rand McNally has the easiest to use and best software on the market, but dam the hardware. Guess I will have to go back to my TND 730. It still works fine. I would stay away from this device, it works great for about a week!!

I should have listened to the other reviews. First it came in a plain cardboard box not a rand McNally box. I thought I was getting a new one not a refurbished pos. I’ve used it one day so far for six hours it has frozen three times for about two hours then said searching for gps another hour. I’ve only been able to use have the time on my first trip! Definitely returning this.

It freezes most of the time. Product itself breaks easily. Not Recommend to anyone.

Sirius XM is a joke on this device, because is in the magnetic charging deck, how you Truck is jumping from the road you lose connection on Sirius XM , and the magnetic charging dock is over heating

Didnt have it two months and screen wont come on and tech support sent me a cable that didnt help. I am over the road truck driver and need this. I'm not home for months at a time and cant get to post office to send it back. Bad choice

I have been a faithful R/M customer for years, the 540 series and for the last 6 years the 740 series. Very happy and I did get my money’s worth from them, then like everything has to die so replaced with this model. My first mistake, I don’t believe that the unit was tested outside of a laboratory and it could not have been tested in a truck. First off the way it mounts to bracket, very poor design. Hit one good bump and falls off to the floor. I run the I-5 now and that’s all there is. Had to mount up on Windshield so can rest on dash for support. Now I have to deal with overheating, gets hot and locks up,freezes and looses gps signal on a daily basis and more then once. I bought it back in February and the sun was not an issue. It will freeze or loose gps signal when you really don’t want it to. I wanted it for having the Sirius app and being able to put my music on it(which putting music on unit is a whole new post) I listen to audio books and will shut down when listening to a book, will make a god awful noise through radio system at time and only way to quit is todo a hard reboot. Now back to truck nav, it doesn’t hold memory of previous route when shut down and restart next day.. have to go in and select from history. When driving and map shows a symbol and you want to route to it you can’t push on symbol and add to route like previous models. I will say that this is the worst unit I have ever owned and it wasn’t cheap, well yes it’s cheap but wasn’t inexpensive. I have nothing positive to say about this model and wish I had these issues during the time I could have returned it. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL. Wish I had my 740 back

Screen freezing and takes up to 10 minutes to aquire gps signals. Tablet gets very hot and shuts down. I've had 3 different rand mcnally truck GPS and all 3 failed after about a year from the battery getting hot. This one gets hot and it won't update maps says no internet yet you go to the browser and the internet works fine. This was my last GPS from rand mcnally

Easily overheated on sun then just stop working at the most important moment. Other than that everything is ok.

I'm been a RM user for over 4 years, i bought this overdryve pro 7 to replace my old 530 and Wow I'm very disappointed!For some reason even that it is connected to the internet and I csn confirm it by going to Firefox or the wifi settings It does not want to download any update, live data does not work, the build in dashcam is useless at night, the sirius xm lost signal very often and the quality of the map is very old school, you can not properly zoon it to check your route. I'm going to return it as soon as i get back to canada.The organization of the map is the only thing that I like but with so many issues I can keep it. Too overprice for what you get.RM should just sell their gps software as sn app for a phone and tablet, so drivers can get a good tablet and not this garbage!

The stand get very much heated when charger plugin ! That’s why I’m no option left to plug direct charger cable into GPS and also it’s gonna hang every time ! Some time starting problem !!I paid good for nothing !Don’t have any idea what to do now ! 😭😭😭
