Go for it! - No need of pricking the egg. You can add water by using the container provided (40ml). This is how I use it : 1. Use about 50-60ml of water for any number of eggs (the auto shut feature in this boiler shuts off within 5 mins if you use less water and it took me about a couple of days to figure out that "Auto Shut" doesn't mean the eggs have boiled. It means all the water has evaporated.) 2.Place eggs (you can add 7 in total) and let it boil for about 12 minutes. (I add any number of eggs without changing the amount of water). 3.After 12mins, you can manually shut it off. Once off, let it sit in the boiler for more 2 mintues. You can then take them out and put in cold water. Pros: 1.Cheap and effective. Does the job for you. 2.It boils within 12-14mins and doesn't require any extra vessels which eventually means less kitchen chores. Cons: 1.The cord is too short. 2.Manual provided doesn't have exact steps and a person new to it will find it difficult to use. MY TECHNIQUE:- 1. firstly you take a safety pin and puncutre the egg in the bottom. 2. then place it upside down as the punctured part facing upwards. 3.before this fill the boiler with water(use only tap water) according to the measuring cup. 4. then place the lid and turn on button after 5 minutes your perfectly boiled eggs will be reasdy.!

Could have been Better...!

Useful purchase
I've been using this for a few months now and yes totally happy with the investment. It does what it claims.. boils eggs perfectly and auto cuts off power once done. There's a small cup that you can basically fill up to the top most measurement marking - that amount of water has been working well for me. Could be better: Stronger plug Instructions in English

Has worked better than expected till now
Has worked better than expected till now...saves time ,no mess, must hav for gym goers. Only thing thing is that u need need to punch a hole in every egg before boiling it . 3yrs after purchase, still working like new.A must have for health enthusiasts.

Poor Product + Package
1. Custard Bowl which is supposed to be there, is missing in the Package....!! 2. Product/Box was completely opened. Didn't realize when it was delivered as these smart etailers do one more round of packing on the actual product to sink the accessories. 3. Manual is only in Chinese. No English ? 4. No indicators on Measuring cup.

Could be lot better. Still anyhow does its job.
Not that easy, most of the times becomes very messy. I am a bachelor brought for fast and hassle free egg boiling, but did not turn up as expected. I don't know why, is it eggs problem or the equipment's, the white part of egg spreads all around, and one day I did not make hole in the egg, the egg did burst. No casualty😂. A Good Money saver
Boiled eggs are something made m/require daily in my household. Time - It just takes 7-10 minutes to boil eggs even when it’s full. Water - just the amount in the cup that comes with it Energy/Gas Saver - this has been the biggest help for our household as while boiling eggs usually we don’t really know the amount of time it’s been on the gas top (it varies) but after this we have seen big change - my mum’s very happy Duration - it’s been more than an year and it’s working fine
