Safari Ltd. Feathered Tyrannosaurus Rex

Safari Ltd. gehört zu den wenigen Herstellern ,die Dinosaurierfiguren nach neuen wissenschaftlichen Erkentnissen anfertigen, was ich persönlich sehr begrüße. Die Figur ist schön gearbeitet und sehr groß. Zwar entspricht die Befiederung nicht ganz den neueren wissenschaftlichen Erkentnissen (in wieweit der Schwanz befiedert ist, ist soweit ich weiß noch unklar), trotzdem ist die Figur gut geeignet, um ein realistischeres Lebendbild dieser Tiere zu vermitteln.

A definite buy for both the avid Dino collecter and the science minded kid! A little too bulky for young children, 5-8, but a real treasure for collectors old and young. The color is subtle but beautifully realized and really brings out the small details of the sculpt. The feathers look great and add a real sense of exoticism to the well know form of T-Rex. I will say that while the figure can stand on its own, it is a bit wobbly and can fall down if not carefully. Also it’s a little heavier than one would expect so again probably better for older collectors. All in All: if you want s feathered T-Rex for a reasonable price and exquisite detail, look no further.

This is one of the nicest "cheap" dinosaur models around. If you're looking for cool 'model' for a shelf, this is great - with a small negative that it doesn't stand too well - he topples forwards easily. I wouldn't recommend this as a child's toy for 2 reasons - one it's expensive if all you want is a generic dinosaur for a kid to play with. Secondly it's heavy and would hurt if someone decided to hit someone else with it.
