New 3008
The body is very similar to the previous model. The only difference I've noticed is that the outside is round and smooth except for the knob which still has the flat sections cut in. To me, it doesn't make much of a difference. It has a screw cap which posts securely, but be careful not to twist the cap when posted. Due to the secure fit, it will move the piston if you twist the cap while posted. The new nib and feed don't have a particular spot they have to go into the grip, so you don't have to worry about accidentally putting them back in wrong and breaking them. I still love the transparent feed! The nib isn't as thin as the previous model, and it performs a bit better. It still feels a bit thinner compared to other pens, but it writes well and doesn't bend as easily. It's not the most amazing writing experience you'll ever have, but it's steady, dependable, and pleasant enough. When you only pay $4.25 per pen, you can't expect a gold nib performance. The writing experience is as good as other pens in their price range, and these are piston fillers with transparent feeds. They're perfect to carry in places where you're afraid to lose or damage more expensive pens, and they're also great to give to anyone who shows interest in getting into fountain pens. They hold quite a bit of ink. I would recommend picking one ink per pen and sticking with it, because the piston can't be removed for cleaning. It would be difficult to get the pen clean enough to change inks. This model is slightly better than the previous model, but unless you have an aversion to the body of the previous being flat in places, or you have a heavy hand and fear bending the nibs, I'd recommend either model equally. Really, the nib is the only reason I'd buy these over the older model.Overall, I think these pens are excellent for the price. I'm not going to sit here and say they're my favorite in my collection, but they really are great for what they are.

I'm giving more stars that I believe they are worth
Only because I tried only one of these fountain pens so far and it leaked big time. Oh, it seemed to hold the ink when I first put it in, but in less than 24 hours, I saw drops of ink in the cap of that one pen. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, but it was a hot mess, leaking the entire time. Ended up emptying the ink out and cleaning the pen of any remaining ink/color. I will not be using that particular one again and it will be a little while before I try another pen (and possibly waste more ink).

Different, but not a bad different
Okay, so, overall, I rather like these pens. They're a lot lighter than I'm used to (I mean, they're all plastic, so...), which makes long-term writing easier. The flow is heavier than many of the other fountain pens I've written with before, so if you plan on buying it, be prepared for that. All it took for me, however, was an adjustment to the amount of weight I put on the pen as I wrote.Fair warning: It's a piston-style pen. If you don't have ink, get some before you buy this pen set. Also, it's a little bit of a learning curve to get ink into it. You have to have the nib completely submerged and do this in-out kind of activity to get the ink to go fully through the feed and into the pen. But the upside is that it holds more ink than the standard ink converter, so it'll last a long time.

Ok at writing, a little leaky
I like the clear body to see what color ink I’m using. It is a little scratchy when writing. I find it a bit messy to refill and a little leaky when the cap is on. I do like writing with it

You get what you pay for.
They dry start a lot and have an uneven line. You can't write fast with these at all. The line skipping is BAD! I'm use to much more expensive pens so this was a little disappointing. You get what you pay for.

User Error?
It may be user error on my part because these are the first fountain pens I have to where I have to manually load the ink, but already two of my pens leaked and I don’t know why. My hands have ink spots when I use these pens and also when I put the cap back on, they still leak. I’m not sure if I overfilled them? These pens don’t come with instructions so it’s best that you Google on how to fill with ink properly.Edit: Okay, now I know what I was doing wrong. I have to be careful with the caps on these pens when taking it off the back of them. I was trying to unscrew it, but the cap just pops off to put it back on the pen. Once I learned that, no more messy dripping. I’m happy now

Good starter pen or utility pen
Easy to fill, easy to use, good feel, smooth ink delivery. This pen is a great value for the price.

Check all your pens as soon as you get them.
At first, the pens were fine. One of the pens had damage on the cap, either from shipping of a manufacturing defect, but I didn't really think anything of it. I was fine with it. One of the other pens, I realized later, worked very poorly. I purchased a fairly good quality ink, but when I wrote with it, most of the downstrokes didn't put down any ink. I had to write everything with upstrokes or with the pen upside down, so with the metal nib part facing down instead of up.
