Nice programmer, doesn't have to stay plugged in.
I didn't personally notice any power or mpg improvement. I have a 2010 f150 5.4l 3v and it has the 6-speed auto. The factory trans tuning is really bad, shift points, revs... The programmer allowed me to adjust the first and second gear shift points and shift pressure, it also seems like it got rid of some of the delay in the pedal. Its like driving a different truck. I would recommend this programmer to anybody with this truck or 6-speed auto.

On the box was Singled " FORD "!
The box indicated Vehicle " FORD " Specifically! So, I sent the product back. I don't know for sure that the product works for the Dodge RT, or I would have kept it.

Listen to the negatives from others
I have a 2013 f150 5.0. 33inch tires with 20 inch rims. Decided to buy this tuner really for the speedometer calibration. Day 1 tried the cal, still noticed a split in speeds from speedo to gps. Day 2 tried again and still the same result. Day 3 decided to try one last time and try out the regular octane tune. Seriously felt no difference in drive. I actually noticed my fuel burn faster driving at normal speed. No increase or decrease in the actual avg mpg. Needless to say the truck is returned to stock, im returning the unit. Didn't do anything for me and the price is outrageous. I should've listened to the other negative reviews. Don't chance it on this one.

Useful but expensive
I purchased this programmer primarily to set my F-150's computer to the slightly larger than stock 285/60-18 tires I'm running and I might be changing out the differential gearing some time later on. I easily updated the programmer via the supplied USB cable and programming the truck's ECM is easy and straight forward. I did temporarily try the regular gasoline tune for a couple of days and surprisingly there was a noticeable difference. I didn't really wring the truck out but throttle response seems improved. I've since gone back to the stock programming so I can evaluate how accurate my tire size changes were and compare my current fuel mileage with what I was getting with the stock tires. One minor complaint is this unit's cost hence 4 stars. For what you get the cost is high IMO but there aren't a lot of alternatives any less expensive. My only other issue was with Amazon and I didn't allow that to alter my opinion of the product itself. It took three programmers from Amazon before I finally got the correct one. They all come in the same box with only the part number sticker indicating the different models. I can only assume whoever was pulling the stock off Amazon's shelves just looked for the Hypertech name on the box without consideration to the many different models. It would have been a 1 star rating for Amazon but honestly this seems to be a fluke and the replacements were all sent overnight FedEx at no expense to me. Unfortunately severe weather in the US turned overnight into three day shipping. Just my luck. After many purchases through Amazon this one was the only such problem I've had to date.

It really isnt that great
The only level that shows a good change to everything is in level three then you see better fuel economy and power diffferences. The rest doesnt effect much

Lives up to the hype
I bought my tuner for towing, but after I set it up it woke up my 05 Expedition. Now my up and down shifts are quick and firm, but not annoyingly firmacceleration has improved also. I suggest going -500rpm between all shift points this takes the lag out off the electric throttle.

DEFINATELY ADDED TORQUE
I was a little skeptical at first but had to do something... the truck was a dog!!! It worked- totally changed the torque and pull of the truck... Worth its cost- go for it

If you have an Apple iMac computer, forget it ...
If you have an Apple iMac computer, forget it you need a PC with Windows. They don't have that on the box

Hypertech poor customer support
Used Regular tune on 2008 Mustang GT with automatic transmission. Something about the tune made reverse gear very aggressive. Pushing the accelerator lightly makes the car light the tires up in reverse. I find this very dangerous. Hypertech support offered one option to fix it. It didn’t work. They had no other ideas. Probably setting car back to stock. Even if it costs you more, I would find a different tuner. Also if you buy from a third party distributor ie Amazon, you do not get the 30 day money back guarantee.
