Blown away!
I'm blow away! After owning a few cheap slicers over the years and throwing them away after first or second use, I can say this is like owning a slicer valued over 150 bucks. It is very sharp, the attachments work great, easy to hold up and slices very fast. This unit has one blade and 3 julienne of different sizes. The largest to make French fries or carrot sticks. For hard items like a carrot, I'd recommend to be extra careful or buy a press. My wife and I are very happy with this product and have used it every day for one thing or another - making soups, slicing cucumbers for salads and sandwiches, finely shredding onion for tacos, etc. You can go wrong and I also plan to gift one.

Watch your fingers
it is SO SHARP so make sure you use the finger guard! Works great for hard root vegetables and can slice paper thin.

Works Really Well!
Nice and sharp, makes fast work of slicing and shredding. Plus, you get lovely, uniformly thin or thick slices. But you MUST WEAR A KEVLAR GLOVE! (Here’s the one I got: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CP7HTJYQ?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1). Otherwise, see you in the ER! I only wish I’d gotten a mandoline sooner. I was afraid of them, but with a glove on, it’s safe and fast. I only wish it came with a storage box. I have nowhere to hang it and it’s not the kind of thing you want floating around in a drawer. And, like all cutters, eventually the blade must be sharpened. However, because the blade only comes in contact with food, and doesn’t get repeatedly slammed against a cutting board, it keeps its edge much longer than a knife. Yes, carrots leave a bit of color on the plastic but it seems to wash away eventually. And, so what? I’m not using it as a centerpiece.

A+ Results
Well, I sliced a kilo of Yukon gold potatoes at 1/16” for pizza patate and a half kilo of champignon mushrooms at 1/8” inch for pizza funghi. I’ve always cut the stuff by hand but you never get whole slices since you need to make stabilizing cuts for these vegetables. The results are excellent, and I’m not too surprised since I’d read several reviews of different mandolines before making my purchase. I like that the blade is a single bevel, and not quite up to my desired laser sharpness, but I like that I can easily remove it to sharpen on my whetstones. I’d had a large four legged Oxo mandoline which was just too big and didn’t cut well and was a pain to clean, dry and store. So I’d give up on a slicer for years. While this slicer is smaller and lots of people recommend it, it’s still too big to say drop in a drawer. But I like that is is cut away on the underside so you can hook onto the top of a bowl and your slices can fall into one. With a large slicer you have to occasionally move it and scrape up the veggies to then place in a bowl. I’m not surprised that’s it’s Japanese since almost all of my kitchen knives are Japanese and as usual the quality is superior. I don’t like that when you remove the changeable vertical slicing blades, there is a large gap between the running board and the blade. However the slices were pretty consistent in thickness so I’d advise all to not use too much downward pressure. Lastly I like that the thickness is infinitely adjustable within a range obviously - this might be annoying if you need presets to gauge thickness. However I have a cutting gauge that I use to measure dices and slices when I need to be precise and I use that when I set up this mandoline. I always us a cut resistant glove - buy a pair along with this product if you don’t already have them. You have to use your fingers if you don’t want to waste food. Overall I’m satisfied but for its compactness, since it is too big for my knife bag, so I’ll just have to buy the small Kyocera with the ceramic blade for when I’m traveling.

Just right for slicing and super shape!
Love this! Replaced our old OXO that has become dull with years of use. This slicer is super sharp so be careful! It’s the perfect size for slicing onions, cucumber, etc

Good main blade, but not the additional functions
The shipping was fast and perfect. The main blade is very sharp and using it is easy. It's making fine slices. But the other appliances practically do not work - I couldn't make any sticks from a cucumber, carrots or zucchini.

Great quality
As authentic a Mandolin as I could find on Amazon. It is of good size and the blade seems high quality, capable of the thinnest possible slices. I have had it over a year and it has stayed just as sharp and it has no staining, the plastic is quite dense and stable. I was so leery of plastic but couldn’t find a good quality wooden one. A quality purchase that will serve for years.

As described
Really good product. It’s my second mandolin which I buy a bigger size. Good Japanese quality.

The most used, for a reason.
I bought a cheaper V Slicer as it got decent reviews. Hated it! It would not keep the thickness setting, you could only choose 3 thickness settings and the platform moved, causing the food to jam in the blade. Lesson learned, paid for the Benriner as it is the OG, sturdy, incredibly sharp and really easy to clean and easy to use. It is rock solid and built to last, just get the OG…. It’s easy to see why so many professionals swear by them. Use a cut resistant glove though!
