We have most of the Level 1 books. They are a great introduction to science for little children. The only reason these don't get five stars is because a slightly bigger font size would have made these books excellent.

First rate book to get early readers interested in science. Very well designed and written, this is a fine product and worth the money

This educational book about air captures one's imagination right from the first full spread illustration (on two pages) featuring children happily playing in a bounce house! It put a smile on my 6.5-year-old's face and she was eager to read what the book was about. John O'Brien's vivid color illustrations make this an immensely enjoyable book that tackles the topic of air -Where is it found? How do you know it's there? How much does it weigh?There are simple experiments that can be used in discovering air, requiring ingredients that can be easily found in one's home. Curious young minds will also discover what the difference is between fish and humans when it comes to breathing underwater. There is a bonus section at the end of the book that provides more experiments about air. I highly recommend this book to any parent or teacher who'd like to teach basic science concepts to children.

We love this series—so well written and explains the science for kids to easily understand. My 7 yo loves it as well as my 3 yo! Also there is a practical experiment at the very end that you can do with household items!
