Littlefair’s Traditional Range Eco Water-Based Wood Stain

We live in a rented property and only recently found out our cat had being using the post catcher as a toilet - the oak parquet floor beneath was significantly marked. A ton of internet research later, it was treated with hydrogen peroxide, sanded down with my new and trusty c£20's worth of B&D Sanding Mouse and then the application of this stain. This is so incredibley easy to use and pet friendly to boot. I followed the very helpful instructions that came with the tester and actually managed to correct the whole damaged patch with the tester size. I have ordered another 250ml to finesse it further because this product has given me so much confidence to actually try !! Also, the seller also provided the next shade up as a freebie tester which I think is a great touch especially as gauging colour on line can be fraught. The colour in the pic is after the stain has been applied and isnt totally dry - once dry, I will apply Tung oil if no more stain is required. Apologies for the lack of before pic - it was so bad I didnt believe it could actually come back ! Thank you for a great product and buying experience !

Bought this to stain a picture frame, excellent stuff ( I only bought a tester as I. Didn’t need much ) but would definitely recommend it

I bought this sample because I needed a small amount of stain to darken the wand I made for my grandson. I found that my usual way applying stain by pouring a little to a cloth and then using the cloth to smooth the stain onto the wood was less than satisfactory. After a little bit of trial and error I found that careful application with a brush worked best for me. It also allowed me to build up the colour by applying two or three coats. It gave a nice colour without the tackiness that other stains can leave. Overall I like the stuff and will be more than happy to use again on bigger jobs. And the grandson loves the colour as well.

Ich hatte folgende Farbtöne zum Vergleich bestellt: Eiche (Mittlere Eiche) und antikes Kiefernholz (Antique Stripped Pine). Auf einem Holzblock (s. Bild anbei) habe ich die Farbtöne gegenüber gestellt (ein Anstrich). "Eiche" hat für mich total ins Schwarze getroffen und passt perfekt zu unserem Laminat (das eigentlich irgendwas mit Nussbaumholz imitieren soll). Der kleine Tester Pot war für dieses kleine Projekt völlig ausreichend! Ich bin bei einem Anstrich geblieben, da der Farbton für mich so perfekt war. Mit einem zweiten wäre es wohl noch etwas dunkler geworden.
