Sharp enough to shave, but not so sharp that it irritates the face...
So I'm a relative newbie to the world of shaving with your standard DE blades. I finally got tired of paying 4 bucks a cartridge for a schick/gillette type blade and watched some videos and gave this a shot. While I'm only about a half dozen shaves in, I can give this feedback (and advice)1. If you have never "wet shaved" with DE blades before, understand, this is a different kind of shaving. You will need to make at LEAST two lather/shave passes to get the close shave that you are used to with cartridges. First pass goes with the grain of your beard, second goes across (not against) the grain.2. These are NOT the sharpest blades out there - if you are new at this, that is actually a very good thing as it will minimize nicks/cuts that WILL happen. Most of them will close almost instantly with application of after shave and are not a big deal at all. Feather makes a MUCH sharper blade, but it will cut you and will likely also leave you VERY razor burned until you get your technique down. I've not had that issue at all with these blades.3. The blades last. I'm about 2 weeks in on the same blade, and I grow pretty heavy stubble. I'll probably change out soon - not because the blade is going bad per se, but because at 20 cents a blade, there's no reason to use them until they start to dull.4. Understand that as important as the blade is the razor handle you choose. When shaving in this way the weight of the handle and angle are what drive the cutting edge: you do not put pressure on outside of that (or you cut your face). These blades fit well and hit the proper angle in my merkur shaving handle quite nicely.5. Lets be honest here, these are standard double edge razor blades. They do the job, are not too aggressive for new shavers, and at 20 bucks for a box of 100 I won't be buying more for a very, VERY long time making them an excellent value.I highly recommend picking up a quality pre-shave cream, a rich lathering shaving soap, a good quality brush (so you don't end up with hairs all over your face), a stiptik pencil in case of cuts, and that you do watch a couple of youtube videos on how to use all of the above appropriately.Sorry the review turned into more of a shaving lesson - so for those who want the abbreviated review: can't go wrong with these blades. Nothing special, but do the job without irritating your face the way some super-sharp blades will

Top Quality Razor Blade
Wilkinson DE razor blade manufactured in Solingen, Germany is very much a top of the line blade. I shave both with a Henson Aggressive +++ and a Mühle Rocca razor with 3-4 shaves per blade. The Wilkinson blade is smooth and maintains its extreme sharpness throughout.

Scam: 5 count pack of *4* not 20
This listing is grievously mislabeled and overpriced. I purchased what was labeled as "5 Count (Pack of 20)" indicating that 20 packs of 5 blades, or 100 total blades were being sold. Instead I was sent a pack of 4, for 20 total blades. The wording on the listing needs to be corrected at once.

Best blades for the money, good Feather alternative
Like many safety razor users, I had been using Feather blades for years. It was the only blade sharp enough for coarse hair; brands like Derby and Astra would necessitate more passes, which would frequently lead to razor burn. But, as others have noticed, something is going on with Feather these last few years. Either the Feather market is irretrievably contaminated with bootlegs or the quality of the authentic Feathers has dropped off. Around the time Feathers sealed with glue instead of oil started showing up, the razors seemed to become dull and uneven.I'd been struggling to find an alternative for months before settling on Wilkinson. These are EXTREMELY sharp--almost as good as the old Feathers, certainly better than the current Feathers--and cost a fraction of what Feather costs. I do wish they came in more eco-friendly packaging, however.Try them out if you have coarse hair!

Awesome set of blades.
I've tried quite a few of those sample blades from various companies and each one were very dull. I have rather a smooth face and those blades would tear up my skin leaving nasty bumps and ingrown hair. Finally, I ended up trying these Wilkinson blades. I have to say these are by far the superior blades I've ever used. I lathered my skin nicely and with 1-2 passes it shaves the hair right off. Yes, theres little tug but surprising theres no after effect. Depending how coarse you hair/skin, these might or might not be for your. Also FYI, make sure you get your blades from a reliable seller. I was stiffed with my order only receiving 5 out 100 ct. blades.

I use Merkur Future Razor and Wilkinson sword classic Blades Best Shave!!!
These are the only Blades that I will use! They have proven over and over to get the job done and you can't complain Either of the cost!I have pretty much tried all the other Double Edge Blades out there and these by far not only last the longest, but are a very smooth and comfortable shave! Not only do I need to shave my face daily but I also shave my head as well so when I can get a good week out of a blade and still be more sharp then a Gillette 5 Blade cartridge that says alot!I know if I wanted I could push a blade till it does not want to cut smooth but why??? At the price of these you could afford to change out blade every day and still be cheaper then Gillette Cartridge blades.I always purchase the 100 quantity and it gets me and my wife thru the entire year! Yes, a years worth at a price you could afford and enjoy the best shave..Don't buy the ones from Mexico as you will find in walgreens or Walmart etc...They are Crap and honestly not the same! you will want the Wilkinson Classics that are made in UK .
