3M Transpore Surgical Tape
Good tape, used it a lot on my legs, and it would stay in place, even after taking a shower!

Excellent Medical Tape in Every Regard
This review is for 3M Transpore Surgical Tape, 1" x 10 yds, 12 Count (Pack of 1). This is exactly the same tape we get from the doctor's office. It works great. It sticks securely and doesn't cause irritation, even when removing. This is the best tape we have found and the only one our doctor recommended.

Great tape
This tape is so easy to use.It sticks very well. It is easy to remove and, it is very comfortable if you have it against your skin. This tape has great performance ,as it can be used for many things It is a great value for your money. I would highly recommend this purchase. I keep some in my emergency kit in my car and use some in my EMT kit. I have used several brands and this by far is the best brand I have used. I will be repurchased this item again. It is a superb brand and by far exceeds other brands.

Insanely durable and very easy to work with
If you need tape that is easy to work with and really sticks, it does not get any better than this! Holds up to showers, hand washing as long as you don't soak it too hard or have gaps where water can get under it. I've had it stay on for days. You will get a really sticky residue along the edges of the tape is that is quite difficult to get off. A little soap and water with some scrubbing/rubbing will do the trick though. I'm sure some solvent will remove it easily. I can tell you rubbing alcohol and hand sanitizer is not it. This tape tears straight across or lengthwise without a bunch of effort. No scissors required! Which makes it great for thinner strips if you need them. I have had this tape remove a little skin in more sensitive areas. I've found it helps to soak it a little in warm water and pull it off such that the peel line is at 45 degrees to the tape. Hard to explain but hopefully that makes sense. Great stuff! I have found no better tape for sticking down gauze or large pads. Even used to to keep a finger splint on.

SIZE MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Ok I bought this width first, so this review will cover three products. This width is great to keep gauze, bandages, and other medical needs. It tears off easy, no scissor needed. It is much better than the 1/2" or 2" for small to medium wounds, especially on feet, legs, hands, and arms. It lasts and stores for years. I like it better than the 3m micropore tape. I have used this tape for many years, it does not stick like the really old tape that you need to rip off and takes skin with it. It sticks about the same as micropore but is a little stronger at holding what you want held. Remember it has a long shelve life so you can always use it later. I bought different sizes of both this and micropore and still have the micropore in my box. I have reorder 1" and 2" Transpore as it works very well for every wound. I recommend ordering the 1/2", 1" and 2" and see what you run out of first and reordering what you use. 1/2" box of 24 - 3M Transpore Tape 1/2 inch x 10 yds. 24 rolls in a box #1527-0 1" box of 12 - 3M Transpore Tape 1" x 10 yd Box: 12 2" box of 6 - 3M Transpore Tape 2" x 10 yd Box: 6 Do a search on Amazon for the best prices, with free shipping you can't go wrong.

Good tape!
I use this tape on certain areas of my face when going to bed to avoid waking up with lines all over my face (I tend to sleep tummy down, so my face gets all messed up by the morning). It does work, as when I take off the tapes in the morning my face isnt showing all those extra wrinkles that were bothering me so much. The tape is so transparent that my husband doesnt notice that I have them on, due to the dim lighting in the bedroom, until he touches my face and feels them. Hahaha. What a scare, but he's getting used to them and doesnt complain after seeing the results. Just remember, if you want to try it my way dim down the lights in the bedroom and take them off the moment you wake up so "he" or "she" doesn't freak out.

great for adhering compression bandages
I use this tape when applying short-stretch compression bandages to my legs. It's the only tape that I have found that will hold the bandages in place for the whole day. The bandages come with those metal prong fasteners but since the bandages themselves are so dense/thick, they don't hold well at all and tend to leave holes. The tape works really well as long as you use fairly long pieces. I personally use (4) separate 5-6" pieces each time I bandage a leg. Sounds like a lot, but quite often I can reuse the pieces. One 12 pack of the 1" x 1o yard 3M Transpore tape lasted me about 16 months, though I didn't bandage every single day. This is the only brand of transpore tape I have used, so don't know if this is the BEST quality tape out there, but the price for this box was really good. I have never used the tape for anything else so I can't vouch for how well it sticks to one's skin, etc. The only "bad" thing I have found is that although one is supposed to be able to just tear the tape, there have been times the tape will simply shred apart, so I use scissors most of the time. I'm sure that's a user-issue, but thought I'd throw that out there... Hope this helps, Thanks for reading:)
