This is perfect. Like literally. 🤗A quote by me is, "Try to increase your budget just a litttle and you may just get your dream phone" 😂No but, seriously, this phone is very good. Mi has always offered a great selection of phones and that too in a budget and this phone, surely tops that list.1) Firstly, this phone is available in 4 colours.Apart from the regular white gold and black, grey and lake blue(due to River ralley) colours are also available.I have all the 4 coloured phone in my family. Lake blue is awesome but, good luck getting that (It always is out pf stock 😕). Then comes my personal favorite, grey. If you're working a corporate office and looking for something other than regular white and black, go for this. Plus, it looks so posh and royal.And you can always get the black or white gold. They are the classics.2) Secondly, the back camera is awesome. I have uploaded some images taken from this phone and you yourself can see the quality of images.3) The front camera is good too but, that's just when it's bright. The phone doesn't have a front flashlight.4) The most awesome feature - storage. I have always wanted a wide variety of apps and 64gb helped me with this.5) RAM is 4gb which is a good thing considering, the phone doesn't get hanged or anything.6) Battery life - 4100 mah. It can last upto more than 36 hours if, you don't use internet. And, if you use internet, it will last upto 20 hours. Trust me, I use internet all the time.7) There are several other features like second space, split screen which are not ordinary. But, if you are getting this phone, then you've got a lot to explore.8) Is it too late to say, I like this phone?? Because, you may already have decided to buy it after looking at the above 7 points. 😂But, I'm serious when, I say, 'Get this phone before, it gets out of stock'. ( I had to wait a week..😔)And, if you're someone looking for front flash, go for redmi y1. It has all the same features except battery life. It's battery life is of shorter span but, it has front flash so, everything is just balanced.____________________Update 1 :- 8/8/18This is working amazingly.With a large set of storage, you can have numerous apps and still it won't hang. Also, the new MIUI is awesome.

Value for money good phone, have used for 2 years but after 2 years started to give problems and has turned dead

The purchase is based on the following considerations.Good standby phone (apps and settings etc are to be replica of main phone ) is required in case the main android phone becomes defective to take over with minimum disturbance.Further it should good call , audio , compass, and cameras.For this criteria, battery removable is the best , since it can be charged to 65% and battery removed out and kept separately. This is the ideal option in case of liion or lipolymor batteries , even for keeping it months together without charging.Present options are Samsung galaxy S5 but it has very low rom (16gb) not suitable as sufficient apps cannot be installed. (Like wise many other old phones)best option is LG V20 , but it is not available.From the repair videos of various phones, it is clear that Redmi series back cover is easily removable. Further it is easiest to disconnect the battery of Redmi Note 4 (first time opening with some plastic tool, from second time onwards it can be opened with nail )As per reviews at gsmarenadotcom redmi note 5 and Redmi 5, the audio quality is not that good of Redmi 2, 3, 4 and Redmi note 2, 3, 4. Further Redmi 5 is not having compass.Hence It is great phone , atleast as a standby option. Only difficult is we have to select thin or pre curved screen protection glass to match the curved screen of the phone , as market is flooded with straight screen guards which results into slight opening at the edges.After receiving it, I have noticed the following components in the phoneRear camera– Ofilm 13MP Samsung ISOCELL S5K3L8 (1/3.08″)Front camera– Ofilm 5MP Samsung S5K5E8 (1/5″)Compass– Yamaha YAS537Light Sensor– LiteOn LTR579Accelerometer– BMI160Gyroscope -BMI 160Display– OTM1911Hence it is a good phone as on date and lucky to get a manufacturer's sealed piece , purchased from Darshita Electronics.Update 05.09.18It is observed if no sim is inserted and it is on it is consuming battery 1% per day and if it is switched off the battery consumption is 1% per 2 weeks, surprisingly great performance. Hence any isolation of battery by opening of back cover is not needed at allBootloader unlocked and leneage 15.1 oreo for redmi note 4 installed and AptX enabledUpdate 30.11.2018: The range of IR Blaster is very very low (less than one foot like 150 mm) hence Service Center updated the software and returned. As it did not solved the issue , second time they have replaced the main board. The problem is solved now the range is 6 to 8 foot but new observation is that the energy consumption is increased to 1% per 3 days in switch off condition and 3 % per day in aeroplane and wifi off standby mode.
