This smelled exactly as I had imagined! Think of a vanilla essence in a Parisian bakery. This candle has a fanatic burn time along with a great scent dispersant!

One of my favorite candles. Super yummy vanilla scent, not too much. And of course the packaging is just gorgeous

Quality is bad
I expected luxury quality from Maison Margiela, but this scented candle was a complete disappointment. The fragrance was extremely weak and barely noticeable unless I stood right next to it. Instead of filling the room, the scent faded within minutes of lighting. The burn was uneven and tunneled down the center, leaving wasted wax around the sides. For a candle at this price point, that’s unacceptable. It also produced more smoke than expected and gave off a slightly burnt smell after a short burn time. Packaging looked elegant, but the actual performance feels cheap and poorly made. Definitely not worth the premium price. I would not purchase again and would not recommend it to anyone expecting a true luxury candle experience.

It DOES NOT SMELL LIKE VANILLA AT ALL....but it is LOVELY
I LOVE their candles & the QUALITY. HOWEVER this smells NOTHING LIKE VANILLA. One review stated it smelled like a vanilla cupcake....yeah the ONLY WAY this would smell like a vanilla cupcake, would be if that cupcake was sprayed with MEN'S COLOGNE. IT SMELLS LIKE MUSKY COLOGNE...BUT VANILLA...NOPE

Wonderful candles
I bought the Afternoon Delight candle and the By the Fireside candle while they were both on sale around thanksgiving. By the fireplace is my favorite, it’s actually incredible in my opinion, and is very similar to the hazelnut candle by Diptyque to me (one of my favorites). So I was pleasantly surprised! It has a great throw, however the afternoon delight candle had much less projection in my opinion. But, a lovely scent nonetheless. However, I wouldn’t buy it again at full price. But, I would repurchase by the fireplace and am even considering buying the perfume now.

Smells like rotten milk
I love Madison Margiela.. but the candle straight up smells like rotten milk. I’m really sad, I have two others (when the rain stops and bubble bath) and they both smell so good. Just so disappointed )
