No. It does not toast evenly! Returned for replacement, similar problem. And price? Rediculous. You can get a better toaster for 1/10 the price. $300?! Company should be embarrassed.

Where is this toaster made?

This toaster is made in China. It states it right on the toaster and on the box. This is not made by Wolf. These small household appliances are licensed out to a decent manufacturer in China. Better than normal China quality... but not great or worth 7X a normal small appliance.

Does this go wide enough to fit leftover waffles from gourmet Belgian waffle maker (2”)?

Yes it does. However - ours simply didn't toast very well. For example it won't toast a bagel without two cycles on high. The Cuisinart classic all-steel toaster is great - commercial grade and a fraction the cost of the Wolf. It just doesn't look as cool... We did our entire kitchen with Wolf and everything else is beyond awesome - well worth the price. It was just the toaster. Good luck!
