The story was amazing. Just yk because it is paperpack so the experience was not so good but the quality was okay.

The story was about royal politics, political intrigue, trust, betrayal, family drama, deception, magic, desire, and cruelty.Characters were complex and interesting. They were all flawed and no one was perfect, even Jude who I liked from the beginning. It was hard to predict anything about any characters until I was much into book but I was right about who was good and who was bad. It was secrets characters were keeping and their actions surprised me most.The world was interesting and captivating. It wasn’t described in too much detail that would made it perfect for readers who don’t like info dump.Court politics and political intrigue were the main focus of the book and it was the best part.Why 4 or 4.5 stars –There wasn’t anything wrong with the book. We still need to see character development which might be in next books. Tbh I have not read it yet but I looks good and I am sure that I would like it. So if you are upto to get it, then go ahead, you won't regret since these types of stories are always fun and good.

AHHH where do I even start.. The book was in its best condition, the font, title, letter writing and design was all really clear and nice. Story was well thought and professionally written... It just kept me hooked.. I usually don't read many books, but this one.. This has some fairie land magic.

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black is first Book in The Folk of Air Trilogy. I absolutely love this book. The Cruel Prince is fantasy book. This book will keep you hooked from beginning till the end of the book. There so many suspense and politics in the book. I loved the Book cover also. This book nothing like other fantasy book where you will find romance and some cheesy lines.Jude is Protagonist of the book. I love her character so much. She is strong and fearless. Jude and twin sisters are Human living with fairies. They both were continuously bullied by other fairies and Prince Cardan. Even after all this she didn't tremble or got scared by them. She did what is right for her and earn place among fairies.I found this book really interesting. Author has not wasted much time on introducing or giving characters description. The character development throught the book is amazing. There are lots of plot twist. This book is absolutely unpredictable, you won't know what's going on happen in next chapter or next page.I would recommend this book to everyone. If you love fantasy and fairies then you should read this book.

I loved the ending, which really surprised me. Ready to read the next part in the series. I wish for it to be more emotional and interesting

I got this book last year. It was starting of fall, as I can remember. In starting, I hated it, I was scared of all the cruelty it was too much for me, but by the end of it, I was convinced to read the other 2 books also. I kind of always related to Jude cause we were the same age when I started, and of course, the story was from her point of view, so why not.At the end now I can say that I loved it. The twist and turns , tropes and plots , were perfect.And Jude, her proving each & every one of them wrong who ever underestimated her. Like omg that mortal girl had the Hing King of Faerie under her hands.Yours truly,Mortal Reader🍂🫶🍄

It is okay because it has certain very weird and illogical loopholes, such bloodshed and party side by side, yes I do know the entire plot is about something beyond human but that was really absurd, though the story is really catchy yet it drifts in the midst again and again. Going for the second one and I hope it's worth more than the first part. Happy Reading.

Un libro que vale la pena leer. Increíble narrativa, un buen desarrollo de personajes, pero sobre todo, un ambiente tan bien construido que desde el inicio te sumerge en la historia. Llegó en perfectas condiciones y dentro del tiempo estimado. Una excelente compra.Pd: sugeriría comprar la trilogía completa desde el principio, porque el final del primero te hará querer leer el segundo de inmediato.

Türkçe çeviri o kadar iyi değil denildiği için ve de İngilizce pratik yapmak için İngilizcesini aldım daha okumaya başlamadım ama çok güzel görünüyor. Kitapta hasar falan yoktu patpata sarmışlar zaten. Kapağı falan şok güzel duruyor. Bayıldım.🤍

"The Cruel Prince" è stata una rivelazione per me.Da qualche anno mi ero allontanato dal genere fantasy perché volevo improntare la mia attenzione verso qualcosa di diverso e più contemporaneo.Dopo diversi anni invece mi sono ritrovato, sotto consiglio di mia cugina, ad avere tra le mani questo libro ed improvvisamente sono stato di nuovo risucchiato nel vortice del fantasy.Esteticamente la copertina è meravigliosa anche al tatto: l'edizione che mi è arrivata ha la copertina in cartoncino sottile ergonomico e tutti i soggetti messi in risalto da carta lucida.Da un punto di vista contenutistico il libro per le prime ottanta pagine non ingrana perfettamente. Queste pagine sono un po' di presentazione dell'ambiente di narrazione e dei personaggi.Ciò che mi ha maggiormente colpito è stato da subito l'intento della Black a non voler dipingere i personaggi fatati come le creature a cui siamo di solito abituati (siamo infatti soliti associare le fate ad entità benigne che aiutano nei momenti di difficoltà). In questo libro il concetto stesso di fata viene molto rivisto e, da un certo punto di vista, integrato: sono esseri quasi apatici che complottano, uccidono ed arrivano anche ad essere crudeli.Per quanto riguarda il finale invece: alcuni lo troveranno banale e forse, sotto certi punti di vista lo è, ma non è scontato. Il libro si auto conclude o meglio si dà una buona chiusura aprendo la pista al suo sequel "The Wicked King" che, detto fra noi, non vedo l'ora di leggere.Piccola nota: il libro, dopo la sua conclusione contiene, almeno nella mia edizione, il prologo del sequel ed una storia a sé stante che racconta l'incoronazione sotto il punto di vista di altri personaggi più marginali.Quindi infine, "The Cruel Prince" è un valido apripista di questa trilogia che setta le basi per una storia affascinante.Consiglio di leggerlo in lingua originale in quanto Holly Black ha steso questo libro con un lessico non eccessivamente ricercato ed ha reso la narrazione scorrevole e mai prolissa, complice anche la scelta dell'utilizzo della prima persona (ma forse questo è un quid particolarmente soggettivo).
