and it's a nearly perfect griddle. I've made Peruvian lomo saltado
I've tried at least a dozen cast-iron griddles on my Weber kettle grill, and found them all basically wanting. A truly hot live fire will burn the seasoning right off cast iron, and I wasn't enjoying dealing with rust, food jumping off the edges, and other irritations. For a few years there, I just forgot about it and grilled normally. Why bother, right? Then I found the Little Griddle Kettle-Q, and I can honestly say I'm thrilled with it. It's thick, robust stainless steel, so no rusting and no putzing around trying to lovingly apply a layer of seasoning that peels off when the surface hits 700 degrees. It's got a high lip, so no lost food - even when stir-frying. It's an ideal substitute for a wok or discada, and it's a nearly perfect griddle. I've made Peruvian lomo saltado, fried rice, several impressive stir fries, and, most memorably, seared some perfect pork chops, crusted with a crisp wet rub, while some sweet potatoes roasted in the coals below. It puts a beautiful sear on meat very quickly, and has enough surface area to cook a family meal without overcrowding. Heating is impressively even across the cooking surface. It fits neatly on any kettle grill save a Smokey Joe, and on a 22" Weber, there's even a small area of the grate that can fit a small sauce/bean pot.Just go buy it already. If you're interested in using a griddle on a round grill, this is what you're looking for. I'd happily recommend any of the manufacturer's other products for a different-shaped grill, as well.

Incredible
This thing is WAY heavier duty than I though it would be. It is not flimsy at all, and is very nice. It cleans easily and also is easy to cook on. I highly recommend that you give this a try! (using it on a Charbroil Patio Bistro - Propane).

A great addition to my kettle
For cooking big breakfasts outside on my Weber kettle, the Kettle-Q is the best thing I have found, and I've tried lots of things. What the Kettle-Q has going for it is the grease trough in the front and the raised edge around the back. The trough keeps grease away from the burning charcoal and the edge prevents food from falling over the side.Bacon, sausage patties, hashbrowns and eggs have been a breeze (although the eggs weren't the prettiest I've ever cooked). And I've used it for Smashburger-style hamburgers with great success. Cooking burgers on the Kettle-Q produces a great crust, by the way. It's not the easiest to clean up, but I figured that before I bought it.I'm happy, and it has given me another reason to cook outside.

I would have been happier if they told me it was a "scratch & dent" item.
First thing I want to say is that I have only had this for a couple of day and I really like it. Well-built and sturdy. I was very disappointed when I opened the perfect box only to find that the griddle had a significant dent on the rear. I would have bought this (at a discount) if I was told up front that it was dented before I purchased. Fortunately, the dent does not affect the way it performs; at least you cannot see the dent when cooking. The instructions caution you about the amount of heat you need; take this seriously. Charcoal grills can get very hot and if you are using a kamado, you cannot manage the fire like a traditional cook unless you are going to keep the lid down all the time. Filling the fire box with lump will just burn your dinner; there is burned-on evidence from my first cook left on the griddle. My suggestion is to light an entire chimney of lump until all the coals are fully lit. Spread the burning coals in the firebox of your kamado evenly. This should just cover the bottom of the fire box. Add another 5-8 medium to large chunks of lump on top of the hot coals. Place your grate and griddle on the grill and wait for them to come up to temperature. You may have to add more charcoal to ensure you get the desired temperature. This was enough charcoal for me to cook on my 18” Vision Classic for over an hour with the lid open most of the time. Great results.
