Century 28,000 BTU Double Head Heater

I had read the reviews r/t to this item. It seems the factory and shipper are just short of being on the ball. When the package arrived, it had been tampered with and/or repacked. I assembled the heater and noticed that 2 bolts were splasing around the packaging. I could not find the 2 nuts for the bolts. Oh my! Missing my nuts right out of the bag. I have a well stocked shop and finding replacement nuts and bolts were not a problem for me.After assembly and start up, there were no other problems. I did have to position the elements to the side of my tank as there is a folded piece of metal on the valve protector assembly of the tank that would no accept the elements as pictured.The unit has been working just perfectly since. Buy it and use it, but be prepared to improvise.

Overall very happy with the product. However, upon opening the box I found that the product was damanged either in packing from manufacturer or shipping. The lines that feed the burners were kinked/bent. These are rubber supply lines so should work but could restrict gas supply. In addition, I found that both protective grates on front were so badly bent they would not attach or stay on the burners. Lastly, I found I had to straighten one of the burners on the T-Mount as it was tweaked a bit. Again Century makes great products, just wished it arrived in better condition.

Great product. I bought the Century 28,000 BTU Double Head Heater over other brands/models because of the ignition button shown in the picture to be a larger diameter black button. The one I received is not as shown in the picture. It has the small diameter red push pin ignition ...like my old heater. It is painful to hold the pin in during the ignition process which takes around 30 seconds. I would have given this item 4 stars if I had received the heater I thought I was purchasing.

There is no way that can install the heads the way they show - at least not with the emergency valve pointing up as instructed. Otherwise it works OK. I thought I'd get double the heat out of the double head but that's not so. I have to be practically sitting right next to the heater in order to sense any warmth.

Saw similar at Home Depot for more money. Put out good heat, but you still need to be close (5-6 ft) to get warm. Wish heat heads could turn or point up a little. If price drops another 20% or so I would buy another to keep both sides of the table warm. Shipping was fast. I added my own lock washers when putting top on bar to keep it from coming loose or having to tighten too much.

Heater came in good condition and was assembled correctly and the instructions that were included were very clear. Also, it certainly throws out a lot of heat. The only issue I have is that one of the heating elements emits a high-pitched sound when lit. I did not seem to change over the 10 minutes I had it lit. It is not overwhelming but I imagine that if it persisted for an hour or more, it might get annoying.

Why anyone writes a good review for this is beyond me. First off, you cannot connect this to a tank. The bar you see in the picture has a little screw...loose in the bottom of the box mind you...that is flimsy at best. The bottom part that is supposed to connect to the tank...well the hole is too high to even come close to either tank I have to connect too. This is obviously a Chinese piece of you know what and also the one heat guard fell off when I took it out of the box. This cannot in any way be safe. I am really surprised this can be sold in the USA considering how flimsy and simply not compliant to standards. Probably the reason its safe is because no one can actually use it! I have ordered many things from Amazon and this is one of the few that are horrid. They do miss the mark on a limited basis and in this case its over the top.

first of all it works great....however the part that connects to the gas tank was upside down. we were able to connect it but the nob is reversed and it looks a little funny. yes i would recommend it and hope that mine was the one in a million that was attached wrong
