Are the brushes cruelty free? I see that pony and goat hair as some of the materials listed

If you're serious about cruelty-free and want to be totally sure that you're purchasing cruelty-free, I'd totally suggest going for synthetic taklon makeup brushes. Excellent quality brands such as ecotools and real techniques have them. Any company claiming to sell cruelty-free with natural animal hair brushes made in China are likely not giving you the full story. Stick with synthetic - lots of high quality, reasonably-priced alternatives out there!

Question 3

What is "fiber hair"? I noticed that several of the brushes have this kind of hair (namely the #6 foundation brush and the #16 detail concealer).

As far as I know it is synthetic fiber. But I will tell you this, synthetic fiber brushes are much better for applying foundation due to the fact that the product is transferred from the brush to your skin, with natural hairs the follicles absorb half of your product !!!!!!!

What is the inside of the case made out of? And what do you use to clean it (put brushes back in case w a little makeup on them & would like to clean?

The inside has little cloth sleeves that hold each brush in place. I personally purchased an expensive brush cleaner my first go around then bought a cheap drug store cleaner and realized it's pretty much the same thing minus the scent. I would get a brush cleaner from the drug store if I were you. Also, I clean the brushes I use for cream products after every use and the ones I use for powder products weekly :)
