Tovolo Collapsible Microwave Splatter Cover 10.5" Medium, Blue Haze

This microwave splatter cover is wide enough to protect even a large plate. It’s lightweight and folds down flat for easy storage, though it is a bit difficult to pull back out to the open position. It hand washes well. It’s not something I’d put in the dishwasher because it needs to be on the top shelf and it takes too much space. I do wish it opened a bit taller, because it probably wouldn’t work for large items like baked potatoes. And it doesn’t look as durable as some splatter covers I’ve seen. But time will tell.

These are great for the microwave, I love that they collapse for easy storage, but are still sturdy. Cleaning is super easy too, just throw it in the dishwasher.

I bought one of these for my parents years ago and it's been great! When my husband and I got our own house, I bought another for us. Seems identical, but the little handle on the lid keeps popping out. It'll click back into place no problem...until the next time. It's just a tiny bit too loose (handle a smidge too small or the holes a smidge too large). Probably just a lemon, and the one my parents have been using for years hasn't done this. Aside from that hiccup, it's easy to clean, works as intended to contain food splatters, collapses flat for storage and easily pops back open for use. Edit: aha! The ones my parents have is a solid molded lid - it doesn't pop out because there's nothing that can. It's hard to tell in the product images if that's how it's still depicted... If they did redesign the product, it was a bad choice.

Cover keeps the microwave clean and helps hold in the heat on the plate. Easy to clean and collapses to take up less storage space (though I usually just leave it on near the microwave).

Opague material allows enough vision to see food beneath the dome, easy to unfold into 2 heights. Perfect size, 12" covers a dinner plate or a paper plate for quick reheats. Can unfold to low height or expand to fuller height. Purchased with the mat & fits onto a 12" glass micro dish. Only downside is the inability to pick up the cover grabbing onto the indents provided at the top of the dome using 2 fingers, instead of grabbing onto a handle or knob. Indents are too smooth & slippery. No traction for 2 fingers to grab onto without slipping off. Makes it difficult to lift the cover off if I can't grab onto the indents. Should have made the indents with a rough or knobby surface so fingers could grab hold to lift the cover. Am considerring gluing some sort of micro safe knob onto the top of the cover so I can get a grip to lift the cover up. Overall, materials appear sturdy, air vents allow for steam to escape, collapsable design is convenient to store. Mat has a honeycomb surface to catch spill overs that can be easily rinsed off. Except for a lack of a cover handle, its a good set for the price. I 'm happy with the cover's black accents & black mat to match my black & silver microwave. Hope they redesign the cover & put a knob on top.

I ordered this large and it completely cover by turntable in the microwave so I'm very happy. It looks nice and feels durable. Easy to pick up and never hot. If you use large dinner plates, this is the one to get without it interfering with your microwave turntable.

I bought this to help keep the microwave clean, and it works exactly as expected. I really like the size, as it easily covers full-size dinner plates. The adjustable height is also a great feature, helping contain splatters while keeping the food covered and insulated during heating. Overall, it does a great job protecting the microwave from messes and was a great purchase.

The dimensions seem off on this. It's bigger than the plate inside my micro wave. So it's not even usable. The collapsible feature looks like it will just make this less durable over time due to the constant folding/bending.

I previously owned a medium sized Tovolo splatter cover. The medium cover covers the food on the plate but sits on the edge of the plate. I thought I'd try the larger diameter, but I feel it's too large. Every plate I've tried, the large size covers completely and sits on the microwave turn table. The downsides are that it's so big it's difficult to get out of the microwave when covered in steam. Additionally, it's very big and difficult to fit in the dishwasher when expanded. Otherwise, the product functions as expected and advertised. Tovolo silicone doesn't smell even after the first use, unlike competitors. I've subsequently bought another medium sized cover.

It's a good product. Does exactly what it's supposed to, keep your mic nice & clean. The vents on the top are good too because it let steam escape. It's really easy to clean and it fold down without a problem too. Although I find if I fold it down and leave it on the top of the mic and I'm in a hurry I forget to put it in. So I leave it in the mic as a good reminder. It's too short for use with drinks/coffee, but good for heated plates of food and small bowls of soup. Really saves cleanup time I recommend it.

This is an excellent food cover for use in the microwave. It is flexible, yet sturdy. The many holes in the cover let the steam escape evenly and prevent over-heating. We use it mainly for popping corn in the microwave and we get best results using this cover (as compared to another cover with only a couple of holes). This cover is also GBA free.

Easy to clean and does the job. I’m happy with the quality.
