BT Synergy 6500 Single DECT Cordless Phone - Titanium/Silver

I am very impressed with these phones. I nearly sent them back because I could not transfer numbers from one phone to another, but I soon found out how to do it and it was easy and I still have the phones. I also like the fact that you can change the wallpaper and download numbers to the phone using ur mobile phone sim card

I needed to buy a cordless telephone with 4 handsets. I had previously has ones from Panasonic and Phillips and these were OK but nothing special. I was very wary of buying the BT product after reading some of the reviews, but I have to say my reservations were misplaced.The product is excellent. Very easy to set up (I would recommend downloading the complete PDF user guide) and simple to operate. I particularly like the way you enter numbers into one handset, or load from your mobile SIM and then you can copy the numbers to all the other handsets. The call quality is much better that others I have tried.

The one sheet of instructions with the machine hardly tell you how to get the things out of the box. The online guide is so hard to use that I have given up on it.The base station has a slot for a SIM card, the idea being that you load the SIM from your mobile and copy the telephone numbers. I have tried three separate SIM card from three phones. It cannot read any of them. Looks as though I am going to have to input all my phone numbers manually Before doing this I am going to look at the option of a Panasonic or other manufacturer to see if there is a better product.A disappointing product.

I bought these phones to link an office, kitchen, lounge and bedroom together so that we could handle incoming calls with ease. These phones constantly lose signal, despite being well with the manufacturers guideline ranges. In addition two of the handsets have developed irreparable faults to the screens in that the displays no longer work. Another handset has died completely and the last one just about operates. Internal calls are very spotty with call drop outs and silent rings very common.I've had these in use for around a year and they are now unusable for the purposes I purchased them. Conveniently this period is also now out of the warranty so I have no come back with the manufacturer. So they are now expensive ornaments which will shortly be boxed up and ditched in the nearest WEEE recycling depot.I am very tempted to send them back to the manufacturer in a box without postage because they really do need to know what utter junk they are producing and selling.Just to be clear - I heartily advise you NOT to buy this product it is shoddily made, very poor quality and in my experience of light usage certainly not fit for purpose. Avoid.

My BT Diverse Quad System developed a display fault so I replaced it on 2 April with the BT Synergy 6500 Quad System on a BT engineer recommendation. These are the disadvantages compared to my previous system:-1 - The handsets are OK to handle but many key functions are accompanied by a loud squawk which gets irritating.2 - The display window does not switch off when not in use back on the cradle so it is not suitable for use on a bedside table. Despite selecting the lowest contrast setting I have to put a cover over my bedroom handset.3 - The display shows imputted numbers quite well but the caller ident display comes up with very small names. Most of the display space is wasted identifying the call as Internal or External.4 - The ring tones are awful. Why not stck to the popular ring tones.5 - Each handset records incoming calls but these must be deleted on every handset unlike my previous system.6 - Selecting the answerphone invokes a playback of your answerphone message.I would definitely not recommend this product and wish I had changed it.

Great product but needed some guidelines to marry up with existing phones. Bought because one of existing phones decided to be unusable, after four years. Had to ring up BT for help and now working ok

This is a great phone / answer phone and is just what I was looking for. The main thing I need is to be able to switch it to completely silent so that it doesn't interrupt my client sessions. This does exactly that - I can put both the handset and phone ringer on silent, plus leave the answerphone switched on, but with the volume also set to zero. So people can phone and leave a message without it making a sound. Perfect!

bad points - on / off switch - different buttons,no volume control for incoming calls ringing sound.Thought had ordered phones with no answer phone but came and not used.Ootherwise,seems o.k.
