Makes me want to shoot jerky strips non-stop
Awesome! Wish I had bought this years ago. Getting the prepared mix into the tube is a bit of a bother. Okay, it's kind of a pain. I wish they would provide a smaller device that would allow you to scoop up the mix, and cram it all the way into the tube while pushing some of the air out. I would take away a star for this royal pain, but... Once I got it loaded up and started cranking out jerky strips... Whoa, mommy! How did I ever survive without this thing?? The strips & sticks came out very consistent, which was a godsend while drying - they all dried at the same time, unlike when I used to hand roll everything and they were different shapes/sizes/thickness.One thing I was initially trying was to get almost ALL of the air pockets out, to avoid non-contiguous strips from coming out the nozzle. But I discovered that it was okay to have small to medium air pockets in the tube - there's a tiny gap where the nozzle connects to the tube that lets air bleed out right before it goes into the nozzle, so it wasn't a problem.Cleaning was so-so (you'll want to find a thin brush to get down inside of the nozzles), but about what I would expect for something like this (not "easy" like they describe, but not ridiculously hard either). Quality seemed to be on target. This thing makes me want to crank out a whole new batch as soon as one has dried. Only gripe would be what it takes to load the tube up - perhaps if it were a bit wider to where the mix could be loaded in easier. But again, that's trivial compared to how well it works. So glad I bought this.

Honestly for the Price you cant beat it
I've been making jerky for a while but always sliced venison or London broil, had a ton of ground venison in the freezer so I did a little research and ordered this one. I couldn't justify spending $50 on a jerky gun. I used all 3 tips that came with it on my first batch, the "Strip" attachment is the one I liked the best. Just go slow and they will be a little thicker or or move the gun fast and they will be thinner. The "double strip" sucked it, didn't come out even of both so toss that one. The "stick" one is good to makes them a nice size not to big or small. The gun is really easy to use and the handle is metal and the tube is heavy duty plastic. I made 2 pounds my first try and had to refill the tube 3 times. Its not a big deal takes all of about 20 seconds to fill. grab a spoon and screw the back off throw some meat in it screw top back on and you are good to go. I didn't have any problems with the meat oozing out of the end like other reviewers so over all I am happy with it and would recommend ๐

You get more than what you paid for!!!
I don't write reviews as often as I should, actually hardly ever, (and this is not one of those reviews that I received anything for). I have used this jerky gun only twice now (both times today). I Love it! I've had a cheap one before, it was the Nesco American harvest one, and a lot of plastic parts and it stopped working pretty quickly. I saw this one, and it's only like two dollars more than the cheap one and the reviews were good so I went for it. I cannot see how the 40 dollar jerky guns can work any better than this one does. It has metal parts, well some plastic too, but the parts that do the work are metal. You only need one squeeze for a good length of a jerky. I also like that the size of the strips are not too big and more on the thin side. My other gun, the strips were so thick that it took so long for the meat to be done. I am a very happy customer! Oh almost forgot, the pieces easily disassemble so it is easy to wash up. Thanks for a great and affordable product!

Just what I needed to make perfect jerky!
I am a newbie to jerky making. The first batch I made I rolled it out by hand and then cut it with a pizza cutter. After that, I got the Jerky Gun. What a difference!!! The process was so much easier and the jerky strips were all the same size and thickness.Things I discovered as I used it:1. I have better luck with the single flat nozzle. It could just be skill, but the double nozzle wasn't as easy to control and the round sticks weren't really what I was wanting (hence the 4 stars).2. It helps to roll the meat into balls and then "load" the Jerky Gun. This helps to get rid of air pockets.3. It seems to work better with colder meat.I had no issues with any meat leaking around the plunger and the trigger was easy enough to use with smaller hands. I've used caulking guns that were harder than this.Speaking of caulking, it really is like a huge caulking gun. I figure if the family decides they no longer like jerky I can always use it for home improvement projects!

The best I've found so far
This is the best extruder I have found yet. I've been making jerky from ground chuck for 15+ years. The firdt kind of extruder I used has become so cheap in product, the last ones I bought didn't sven work. Took a chance on this one and was thrilled how beautifully it worked. I'm over 70 and my hand strength isn't as much as it used to be, but this worked as smooth as silk. Little strength needed to accomplish the task. It processed the 30# this weekend in short order. Would definitely buy it again. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the "stick" tip was poorly designed and thus a poor fit. The meat would get pushed out around it while extruding sticks. That was disappointing.

Great for jerky
I was hoping to use this for stuffing various things like cupcakes, pasta shells, jalepeno poppers, and it works but if it's a small quantity then too much gets stuck in the tip. I tried jerky made of ground hamburger for the first time and used the gun for the strips and it was amazing! Wish they made a smaller version for stuffing other things.

works great to make any kind of ground meat jerky.
This jerky gun works well to make ground meat jerky. It seems to be sturdy and goes in the dishwasher. If you are into dehydrating your own jerky and want to use ground meat (I've used beef, bison, and elk), this gun will make the job easy. I wash it by hand and then throw it in the dishwasher for safety.

Works ok as long as you use only large tubes. Got it to finish off the leftovers from my large stuffer when making sausage. Worked great until I used a small tube for jerky sticks and was to much pressure. Wound up getting a heavy duty one and it works a lot better. All and all not a bad gun for the price though.

Works on my Dewalt gun
I have an Dewalt 20v electric silicone gun and thought just maybe this will fit it so I bought it. When I received the gun I found out that the treads on the tube are the same except the diametre was a bit on the fat side. But after a little sanding it fits perfectly and makes jerky a breeze, no cranking at all. In fact I didn't even use the hand crank one that came with it at all. Over all great gun.

Very impressed.
I was skeptical about this product at first, but after using it a few times Iโm a fan. Iโll probably make jerky the traditional way now and then but this is my new go to for jerky. Ground meat is just so much easier.
