Great for reducing or preventing a mess
Works well and is easy to use. All of my cars up till my current one have had their filters mounted sideways so the flow was predictable and easy to control—that’s not the case with my current one where oil gets everywhere as soon as the filter’s loosened enough.

Great for preventing messes
I use this tool religiously doing oil changes at work. It helps massively with reducing the amount of time i have to spend cleaning my arms and customer vehicles.

Disapointed
Doesn't fit in the space where my oil filter is located, on my 2022 Ram 1500.

Yeah, I wish I'd thought of it too.
Be advised that the wrong size is printed on the X version of the current batch of this tool. It says up to 4" But, if you ordered X and you got X, you got the right one. I e-mailed the company and Elliott responded immediately. As for the Oil Udder, all I can say is Wow! It gives me a grip on the filter housing that I would not have after getting oil on my fingers. In the past, I put them on hand tight but needed a filter wrench to remove them. Not now. And no spill. I love it.

Fell apart in a year!
As others said, not as helpful as expected but had it's place for certain jobs. I even got the magnetic mounts to keep things nice & neat. But, in less than 1 year.... came in to them broke in half! It took one year of the hot, Texas summer to get them brittle & the temperature cycle made them fall apart. One had half on the ground, the other was barley still together. Couldn't believe it! I didn't even get to use them but a few times. By far, one of the WORST investments in shop tools I have made. Even the little drain plug retainer rotted apart. Maybe, in 6 years I'd expect this, not 1. I have metal & plastic ones that are older than I can remember. I had been meaning to come make this review for a while as I found them like this a while ago, but just getting to it now as I was going through my phone & found the pictures.

Didn’t really help much. Actually made a mess of sorts.

Good for preventing oil on hand and arm
I use this with the oil filter on my 2017 Civic which is located at an angle and not straight down. I can catch the oil while removing the oil filter and then drain it into the container without oil getting all over my hand and arm.

Little expensive for what you get
Works okay, almost need an even larger size for full size trucks.

Doesn’t work on the Toyota canister.
It says up to 4 inch on the packaging. Didn’t work for the Toyota filter casing. Possibly wrong packaging.
