Colter Stevens, a US Army helicopter pilot whose last memory is flying in Afghanistan, wakes up on a commuter train. However, he discovers that he has assumed the identity of another man. 8 minutes later, the train explodes and Stevens finds himself in some kind of pod. He then talks to someone named Goodwin, who tells him he has to go back and find out who the bomber is. He is sent back to go through the whole thing again and attempts to find who the bomber is but fails. The bomb goes off and Stevens finds himself in the pod again. He is sent back another time, yet still cannot find out anything. When he returns, he asks what is going on. Goodwin and Rutledge, the scientist in charge, tell him that he is part of a project that can put someone in another person's consciousness during the last 8 minutes of their life. Stevens then asks why he cannot just stop the bomb. He is told that he is not going back in time but placed in the moment so he can find out who the bomber is and if ...

Nice blu ray movie @279 rs. I wanted Hollywood movie with hindi language options. In description on site it is not mentioned. I took risk. When i got cd i found tha luckily hindi language is there with Blu ray. Also it is full Widescreen format. Therefore you can watch full screen movie on Widescreen monitor. Nice quality audio video.

Good Movie, but bad transfer

Confusing
similar to the popular movie " Inception ", this movie confuses the viewers who are tossed between real time and past time. Based on the review, I bought this to my total disappointment. Waste of money.

A sci-fi for grown ups. There is explosion but just once. Lead female actors are attractive and the movie forces you to think. The director, son of a legend mucician, follows up his smart movie 'Moon' with this movie which is a worthwhile followup.

So even before I knew what this was called, before I knew who the actor was I liked it. It was occasionally shown on the box and I saw the most of it the first time then different parts of it but I never watched the whole think until I purposefully sat down to watch it.

Take elements of Groundhog Day, The Matrix and Speed; then add a dash of The Bourne Identity, a generous helping of originality and mix well.Jake Gyllenhaal plays Colter Stevens, a military pilot who participates in a project that allows him to take the place of another during parallel events. The one limitation is that this can happen for a maximum of eight minutes at a time. Someone has placed a bomb on a Chicago commuter train and Stevens must make repeat trips as one of the passengers - reliving the same section of his journey - in order to find the terrorist.To describe the plot any further would be to spoil it massively. Following his acclaimed first feature, Moon , director Duncan Jones has shown that he most definitely isn't a one-film wonder. Ben Ripley's inspired screenplay comes in at a brisk 90 minutes and Jones demonstrates a deftness of touch in accelerating the story. The repetitive nature is actually an advantage, since familiarity breeds anticipation of what will be discovered each time.As you would expect for a 2011 release, there are no concerns over the picture and sound on this Blu-ray. The image is crisp and bright (particularly in the outdoor scenes) and the DTS-HD 5.1 accompaniment does a decent job. Bonus features include an audio commentary by Jones, Ripley and Gyllenhaal, several featurettes and two trivia tracks.Despite its sci-fi trappings, Source Code packs quite an emotional punch and, during the final act especially, has a lot to say about the human condition. Its adroit script, sure direction and great performance by Gyllenhaal raise it above the average thriller. What did surprise me was how moved I felt at the end. I can't recommend it enough. Moon

If you like thrillers, buy this film
Definitely kept me on the edge of my seat.The writing is outstanding. All four principal actors do well and Gyllenhaal, especially, carries the plot forward extremely well.At the start, I feared a stock, predictable Hollywood thriller. But soon I found myself en wrapped in Gyllenhaal's puzzle-within-a puzzle.Duncan Jones is definitely a young director to watch.If you like thrillers, buy this film!

Good Movie
This film is good because it has a very interesting premise which makes you think about it long after you've watched it. The IMDB chat threads certainly show you that. It's in the time travel/time loop genre which is why I bought it, as I like those ideas and wanted to see another interesting concept, this delivered that. Jake G is excellent in it acting wise and he's not hard on the eye either!So I would say a pretty good film, not a masterpiece in my opinion but a decent film with a good concept, good acting, and I might even one day watch this again. Put it this way, this is worthy of staying in my DVD collection, and I'm one of those people who only allows the worthy to stay in her DVD collection.
