After my Catalytic Converter was stolen twice in 5 months, I purchased one of these. It definitely takes the worry out of street parking in LA. It's been 2 months with the CatClamp on my vehicle and I still have a catalytic converter attached to the underside of my car, so it's working. And knowing that I've pissed off some thieves by making their job more difficult (practically impossible) is worth the purchase price of this lock :DUPDATE 01/16: It's been over a year with the CatClamp and my converter hasn't been stolen. It's safe to say this works like a charm!

Returned it. It was too heavy, should have gotten the lighter weight one.

Had the cat. converter stolen off of my 1994 Toyota pickup about 3 years ago, and after spending $1200 to replace it, I bought the older version of the catclamp. About a year ago, some thieves again hit my neighborhood and stole converters from 2 Toyotas just down the street. Mine was untouched - most likely because of the catclamp. It's apparently enough of a deterrent to cause the thieves to move on - fortunately for me, but not for my neighbors. My old truck is now retired, but I'll be buying the new version of the catclamp for my next truck!
