Excellent tools. The angle of the handle on the circular saw is very ergonomic compared with the other saws on the market in this category. The impact driver is very clever 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch drive. Value for the money.

For a general starter kit, this is a pretty good assortment. I have quite a collection of cordless tools in several brands, but this is my first experience with Bosch tools. I've had the opportunity to use everything included except for the reciprocating saw. It seems to be built like a tank, so I'm confident that it will not disappoint. The drill is awesome. I'd been watching for an upgrade for my 10 year old Ryobi cordless drill and this was just the ticket. Brushless and compact. Metal keyless chuck. I have not tried the hammer feature (I have other tools for that), but otherwise the drill seems fantastic. The impact driver is pretty good. I have a few other impacts, but none with a 1/2" drive so that was a selling point. The idea of the combo 1/2" square/1/4" hex drive is pretty ingenious. I used this recently on a truck repair project and it worked well, but I also had a 3/8" square drive impact on hand as well. The torque offered by the Bosch did not disappoint. I don't believe there is any way to turn this driver down besides perhaps reduced trigger pull. I have a Makita that is like this as well, but another impact that offers "break loose" and power reduction settings. This omission keeps it from being truly versatile (although the combo drive almost makes up for that), but it is a solid workhorse of an impact driver. The circular saw really impressed me. I've had a couple of cordless saws that really fell short, and if I was doing something more than 1-2 cuts in relatively thin material, I would still reach for my corded circular saw or use a different tool (table saw, miter saw, etc). You can tell the Bosch saw bogs down a little more than a corded saw under load, but just a little, and this thing crosscut a 2x4 with speed and ease. My old 5 1/2" cordless circular saw made 2x seem like hard work. It's always handy to have a LED light that shares batteries with other tools, but this one kind of falls flat. It's not very bright, not very versatile, and the power button is placed very awkwardly on the TIP of the light. A light is a light when you need one, but I could have done without this one. The included bag is VERY basic. No pockets and no bells or whistles at all. Durable enough to get you started, but it seems little on the thin side. It WILL hold everything included, but the reciprocating saw will only fit end to end without a blade in it - which is honestly a good way of forcing you to take your blade out so things don't get torn up! The bag is nothing special, but since it has to hold all of this stuff, it is quite large, and way better than the shipping box(es) for keeping your tools in. No complaints about the batteries or charger. Most of my DIY projects are pretty short-lived, so I have yet to run either battery down enough to need recharged after charging them initially. I did have one battery act a little flaky on its first charge. The charger started flashing red part way through. I removed/reseated the battery and had no more problems. It may have just needed some "new" rubbed off... The batteries are pretty compact, but still claim to be 4Ah which would be sufficient for most home use. I have Ryobi batteries roughly the same size that are only 1.3Ah (Ryobi has improved these and their smallest batteries are rated higher now). Overall a decent kit with a few minor shortcomings. The last thing I needed was yet another family of power tool batteries at my house, but at least I can tell these are some pretty good tools that will run on them!

Fairly nice and quiet tools, and perform similarly to other tools I use or have used. I think the combo impact driver design is a neat idea that gives you two tools in one unit. The drill is a drill, driver, hammer drill, and performed on par with another brand of cordless hammer drill I have. I tried running 1/2 inch lag bolt into a 2X4 with the impact which put it in with no issues. I also was able to remove a car lug nuts, and verified that appears max torque this had was 140FT-LB. Not as powerful as the large ones but decent for this unit. The reciprocating saw works well and performed on par with similar tools, I liked the way I could hold it and use it. This recip saw apears to really only have two speeds and not really any variable speed past that. The insert lock blade holder is a nice idea. The batteries charged fairly quickly in roughly an hour perhaps less. Batteries also have indicators on them too and the battery lock works well, though the button is sort of awkward at times to get a good grip to press. The flashlight seems decent though I don't think as bright as some other tool kit lights i have worked with. The Drill works well and has lots of torque but I think this really needs a second handle like any other larger 1/2-inch drill usually has. This thing on a hole saw you hit a nail or it binds up it's probably going to pull out of your hands and try and spin around more once you let go. Drill like this and no second handle with this kind of torque and no selectable limit for drill mode is kind of dangerous. The Impact driver could be improved with some sort of a mode option to allow for small impact sockets or large ones, or running things like lag screws, etc. I found running lag screw it will not start if just pull the trigger all the way, and impact does not work either if running too fast. The sawzall is nice but let down with the lack of LED light on it when the drill and impact have it. Not much of a fan of where the power button is on the flashlight, and that it does not dim. The circ saw leaves some to be desired the plastic guard just seems would be broken easily, and cutting a 2X6 it almost stalled a few times where most at least corded saws would have just kept going. This may be just a battery tool thing, but seems could use more torque. The kit also came missing one belt clip for one of the drill/impact drivers. The circular saw was also missing a screw to hold the optional square accessory to it. Hopefully, this is a one-off issue, but I can't say for sure. I usually think of Bosh as one of the higher-end brands, and for the most part, these look quite well made other details are kind of a letdown for the price point of this.
