I bought this for my sister, who just moved to an oceanfront home. We immediately spotted an otter, cormorants and pelicans. We compared views with her binoculars, and the spotting scope was much stronger. Later, she told me that she used the spotting scope to look at the moon and Jupiter, and that she was able to see two of Jupiter's moons!

The scope works and the magnification is great. But the back lens cover removal took the whole thing apart. I screwed it back in and it worked but you know that you can never use this in any inclement weather and going out into the cold might be a problem. I had a scope that you had to cover in plastic in the rain and if it fogged up you had to put it on a heater until it dried it out. I believe that it is a decent spotting scope for the price so to compare it to much more expensive scopes would not be fair. To be honest, I think the more expensive spotting scopes are worth it if you can afford it and intend to use it all the time. I got this so that I can mount my phone to it and take pictures of animals in the back yard. I have not gotten to that yet but see no reason why it would not work. So good price, you have to be careful with it or I think you could turn it into a piece of junk. You get what you pay for and I still think that at this price you get good value for what you pay.

Bought this for spotting at the gun range. Was able to see my target at a 150 yrds with know problem. The only thing that I found wrong was the tripod. A little shakey but not a deal breaker. Was able to use my camera tripod.

this is a great lightweight scope for hiking and travel. Good optics and well built. Even works well for looking at the night sky.

Arrived with just the scope. Until I can get the tripod and holder, it is an expensive paperweight.

We are actually really happy with this I thought it was gonna be more like an attachment for your phone that being said it is actually really easy to use with your phone as a telescope. We do a lot of stargazing at night and my daughter likes to take pictures with her I thought she was able to manipulate this pretty well to get some good shots of the moon. Really good zoom on this as well.
