Badia Orange Pepper Seasoning

To be honest, I had low expectations for this product. Don't get me wrong, Badia has wonderful products, but my go-to brand of orange pepper is H-E-B's Mi Tienda brand, and it is my fave pre-made seasoning blend. Now that I live far afield from HEB (in the upper midwest), I needed a replacement, and I wasn't optimistic. Much to my delight and surprise, this orange pepper blend from Badia exceeded my expectations.It's the perfect blend of spice, acidity, saltiness, and delightful orange flavor. I'm glad I took a leap of faith and ordered the large bottle, as it was a much better value, and I have been really impressed by the product. Even though it may seem like a niche seasoning blend, it is really versatile and can perk up a number of dishes. From chicken to pork to beef, this blend is an all-in-one rub. It's also a delightful addition to a pasta salad, vegetable dishes, and more.

I recently tried the Badia Orange Pepper Seasoning on a few different dishes, and it definitely brings a unique punch to the kitchen. I found that if I seasoned my food the way I normally do with a pepper blend, the salt became overwhelming very quickly. It’s more of a "seasoned salt" than a "pepper-forward" spice.My Recommendation:If you’re using this, I highly recommend skipping any additional salt in your recipe. Treat this as your primary salt source rather than just a pepper topping. If you balance it right, the flavor is excellent, but it's very easy to overdo it!
