Replacement remote works great!
Great buy! We ordered this remote to replace an old one that had stopped working. Easy to install provided that you take note/photos of the placement of the old one before unplugging it. Ours was threaded through the back of the seat and underneath, and was zip-tied in 3 places under the seat to prevent the cable from crushing or wrapping around hardware and moving parts. We replaced the zip ties and attached new ones in the same places. Also, since recliners are not alike, be sure the new cable is long enough even though the remote and plug are compatible.

Great replacement Remote
Had to replaced the original remote for our reclining chair. Cord is a little short but this replacement worked great. My original remote stated Best at the top and this one worked as a replacment.

A perfect replacement for my mom's auto-reclining chair... with one pitfall.
My mom's husband passed away recently. He'd suffered from mental deterioration, and had taken to "picking at" the wired remote control on the reclining chair she'd recently picked up for him. A houseful of grandkids on the day of the funeral resulted in the control becoming totally unusable, finishing the job already started. So, to help my mom out, and make this relatively new and quite nice leather recliner functional again, I went looking for a replacement. This is the one I chose. It's a perfect replacement... the closest I could find to the original, both in size and shape and in overall functionality. The original differed in color, had a coiled core, and was NOT lit, but otherwise the two are identical in every way.Replacing it meant basically snipping a few cable ties underneath the chair, unplugging the connector from the motor housing and removing it, snaking the new one's cable through, plugging it in, and using fresh cable ties to ensure that the cable could not be caught in the moving parts and damaged as a result. Very easy.Note, not every remote of this sort will work with every chair. There are multiple "plug" configurations, and multiple button configurations. It's on you to find the right remote for the right chair, but don't assume that "any remote will do." This isn't the case. This works flawlessly, and the (still otherwise in excellent condition) chair is fully functional again. The only complaint I have about this remote is the backlighting. The two buttons are backlit with a BRIGHT blue light. At night, in a dark room, you can still see perfectly clearly due to the brightness of these two buttons. It's actually sort of ridiculous just how bright they are! Now, if you're going to be keeping this in the room you sleep in, this might pose a problem. In this particular case, the chair is in the living room, and so the "blue nightlight" isn't a problem for my mom or any houseguests she might have. But a better solution would be to have a small sliding switch.. inset.. on the device which could turn the lights on or off... or perhaps even change its intensity (Off, dim, medium, bright).Unfortunately, this device has no such feature. If you really want the light gone, you'd have to disassemble it and manually desolder the blue LEDs from the controller's internal circuit board. NOT something I'd recommend to the typical end-user.So, just be aware.. this is a great replacement controller, but if the light is going to be a problem for you, you might want to keep looking!

Replacement
It was the exact equipment that came with the chair and it was purchased. It was a plug and play device solved the problems.

Don’t buy
The remote stopped working after approximately 3 months of use. One of the worst products I have ever purchased on Amazon. After the remote stopped working, I looked at other reviews of the product and noted other people were reporting the same problem. Good luck trying to contact the seller who actually sells saunas, Sauna Shield. I am revising my review. Checked underneath chair and discovered the 5 point plug was partially unplugged. It’s works now after making sure the plug was secured.
