Works perfect and well made. (STURDY) Make sure the size is correct for you. ITs for smaller projects such as Bowls/Plates. Exactly what I wanted to go with my other lathe tools.

The faceplate and center worm screws that come with this are sturdy and I expect to use them for a long time. However you should immediately throw away the wood screws that come with it and replace them with regular decking screws or similar. the head snapped off one of them the instant I started driving it into a piece of wood.

The good: This is now my main go to spindle. I love it! Sturdy and balanced I expect many years of good use out of it. The Bad: The center spindle screw stripped the internal threads/retaining screw on the first use. It took a lot of frustrated effort to remove it from the piece of oak it was embedded into and left a nasty burr inside the spindle. Would I buy again? Yes without any hesitation and just might do so in the near future to get some of the additional size offerings to increase the flexibility in various size projects.

I needed a screw chuck that had a removable screw so I could use a bolt to hold a piece of wood plus a wide faceplate this works for what I needed. Could not find one that fit my lathe drive but got an adapter at amazon and it works very well no cons

If you are going to use it as a face plate it is sturdy with a good chrome finish. I have used it 3 times, 2x as a face plate (and it worked well) and once as a screw chuck. The screw chuck is worthless. When I tried to unscrew it the screw immediately broke. The screw is cheap and to small to be of much use. I had to use a plug drill to remove the broken piece from my project. If you want a small inexpensive faceplate it is ok, if you are looking for a screw chuck don't buy it.

Well worth the price! The 1”x 8tpi thread fit tight and smooth, and the chrome plating made it look nice… thank you seller for the affordable and well-made product!

Very nice faceplate wormhole screw is held in place by a set screw which made it very easy to change screw if I needed to it also came with hardware to attach the face plate to the stock I was working on. Highly recommend this product can't go wrong and it is priced way below other places I looked.

This keeps on popping up wanting me to right a review, had I ever purchased it I would gladly do so. Best thing to do is to send me a free one so I can review it properly. Still gave it 5 stars as these screw chucks are handy to have providing the centre screw comes out easily enough.
