Great Headphones. Connectivity is perfect and smooth. Audio quality is top notch , ANC works very well. Very comfortable even if one uses for very long duration continuously. Durable. Mic quality is great. No complaints at all. Worth every single penny. If one is a audiophile , it's one of the best available headphones currently in the market at this price range.

Coming from a Sony XB900N, I was expecting to be blown away immediately. TBH, the out-of-the-box sound was good, but it didn't wow me. The real magic happened after spending some time with the EQ in the Sony Sound Connect app. Once tuned the WH-1000XM6 completely transformed. The bass became deep and controlled, vocals remained clear, and the overall sound gained much more energy and detail. These headphones have a lot of potential, but I feel you need to take advantage of the EQ to get the best out of them. The ANC is outstanding, comfort is excellent for long sessions, and battery life has been great. Multipoint connectivity has also worked flawlessly with my devices. If you're willing to spend a few minutes adjusting the sound signature to your taste, the WH-1000XM6 is an exceptional pair of headphones and a worthy upgrade from older Sony models.

I’ve been a long-time Bose user for years and recently decided to try the Sony WH-1000XM6 — and I’m so glad I made the switch! The sound quality is absolutely top-notch — rich, balanced, and immersive. The noise cancellation is phenomenal, easily blocking out background noise even in busy environments. Comfort-wise, these headphones are excellent. I can wear them for hours without any discomfort, which is a big plus for long flights or work sessions. I’ve also owned the Apple AirPods Max, which sound great but feel a bit bulky and heavy due to their metallic design. In comparison, the XM6 feels lighter, more comfortable, and much more versatile — especially if you use non-Apple devices. Overall, the Sony MX6 delivers superb sound quality, excellent noise cancellation, and great comfort at a slightly lower price point. Definitely worth it — highly recommended!

Been using it for the past month. While it works reliably, you need the app to leverage its suite of features viz a handicap. The ambient sound mode is a nice neat feature that the app unlocks. ANC is good. I travel often where journey time ranges between 2 hours to 8 hours. I’ve used in flights, Shatabdi and Vande Bharat trips; ANC works like a charm. Pass through also works very well. Just need to cup the right ear. Call quality and microphone quality is also good. However unlike my AirPods Pro 2nd gen, it doesn’t seem to mute background noise. Could be possible I didn’t enable the right feature. My only gripe is that when I wear it while pairing it with my MacBook Air 5, WisprFlow doesn’t pick up audio reliably. Quite a few times I get audio drops. Connectivity is good. Can connect upto 2 devices at a time and it’ll auto switch if you get a call. It auto switches from phone to mac when I get a zoom or a teams meeting. Vice versa is true if I’m listening to music on my mac and receive a call on my phone. Auto switches works only when switching from music to a call. Not from one call to another. There’s you’ll need to manually switch. Adjustability is good. I have large ear lobes so long duration wear comfort is not the best. It’s amazing if I get the angle of the cups just right otherwise after 2-3 hours of use, I keep adjusting it. Battery life is fantastic. Never had a situation where I lost charge mid-commute. I used it when I was travelling for a 3- day conference where I had it on when I left my home till I checked into my hotel. My flight duration was a bit over 3 hours. I also used it for an hour or 2 every night and then again for the return journey right from checkout to kill I reached home. Would have used the headphones for 15-18 hours and still had ~50% battery left. In flight had ANC on. During boarding and de-boarding had ambient noise (transparency) mode on. In all other duration of travel ANC was on and its switch to transparency mode when I’d speak to someone. Controls is primarily through the touch control on the right ear. There’s a learning curve but it’s easy once you get used to it. Beware it does attract fingerprints and finger oils. Now coming to the audio quality, was not a fan of the default equaliser setting. The Sony app allows you to build a custom eq based on your hearing which was pretty good. I tweaked it a little for my sound profile but it was good. Audio quality was slightly better than my AirPods Pro 2nd gen. Nothing to complain about nor anything to write home about. Bottom line, it’s a great all rounder and would recommend for anyone looking for one. For me personally: I’m more biased to Bose’s sound profile. If I had to buy again, I’d pay the extra 2k and buy the Bose Ultra QuiteComfort 2nd gen, just coz of its sound quality. Not that I’ve used it before. My previous Bose was a Soundsport TW Earbuds so going off that. I’m sure it would have its own set of challenges.

This is the best sounding headphones I brought for my self in my entire life, happy to have this on board. ANC is best and ambient sound is good, cinema mode feels like a theatre experience - absolute banger. Wearing this to heavy gym sessions is still questionable due to sweat, head grip is on a little tighter side but still ok once habituated. Absolutely love this product.

I’ve been an in-ear user for years, but these have converted me for some use cases. Very comfy, awesome sound performance, great noise cancelling. They switch between devices seamlessly. They’re pricey but fully worth it.

How do I feel about these? I gave them a 5 star because they do the job well. The ANC is pretty absolute. While I haven't traveled with them yet, so far it blocks out all ambient noise. On a phone call the other day I asked how the reception was. Crystal clear was the response. I have a hesitancy to give 5 star only because of the price. Are they worth it? Maybe if you didn't know other things existed. Prior and still I use Soundcore Q35 which are also ANC and good ones. You can compare the specs from each website and clearly Sonys have more microphones etc. On paper Sony WH 1000 xm6 are superior. I paid $139.00 for the Q35s and they also fold into a smaller size and come with a hard case. Even an airplane adapter and 3.5 line. My only issue is, even with a huge head they didn't fit all that well. Sony's are a bit snugger. That said after long term use my ears sweat. Maybe my imagination as I am in the middle of hell in the summer. The most important thing to me is sound. For this pricepoint I should be blown away. AM I? I'm not so sure. There's a Sony appp that fine tunes the sound and it's nice. It sounds great, but is it better than the Q35s? I don't know. There are guys out there that have already done all the tests between Sony and competitors and they make a better case than me. I'm not an audiophile that needs perfection rather I'm an old guy that wants the best I can afford thats reasonable. I'm pretty sure the Sonys are better than the Q35s but so far not for the price difference.I need to become more immersed in this give a better review. That said, I also have a pair of Oneplus buds 2 pro that sound amazing. These also have spacial and a tuning app. And ANC. At the moment I'd say since I'm retired and don't have endless streams of money and have simpler needs, the equipment I was using is just fine and at a good price. If I was one of those guys that laid awake at night crunching decibel numbers I'd say spend the money, well worth it. So far they're easy to use, easy to set up. Not keen on the swipe controls instead of buttons but it works, i just need to adjust. A little learning curve for old guys like me. I usually watch videos while researching pre-purchase and so setup was a breeze. Battery life seems spot on 30 hours, just like Q35s. There are clearly things I missed or am not using that may enhance the experience, time and experimenting will help me with this review later. So these are 5 star cans, for sure and should be judged on their own merits and not off the price point. Still though if good enough is ok for you, comparing these to others may be like camparing cars. Upgrades cost more but don't get you there are faster.

App on phone was a bit of a pain to set up but works OK once they are connected. The ear pads are nice and comfortable. I personally don't think the sound quality reflects the price but that's just my own opinion.

The headphones are amazing and 100% worth the price! Sound quality and depth is great wireless and the noise cancelling is phenomenal especially whilst travelling. I appreciate being able to have two bluetooth devices connected at the same time, as it swaps automatically between them when audio is played (for example I'll have it connected to my Switch, but when I receive a call on my phone itll move there). I appreciate having a button for quickly switching between ANC and Ambient noise - and the ambient / transparency mode is the best I've ever heard, its just as good as taking the headphones off to talk to someone, whereas on my earphones its normally better to just take them out. The touch controls take some getting used to but are good, I wish you could use both sides for navigation but only the right ear cup has the touch sensor. I have these in blue and the colour isnt as vibrant as I would like - in most lighting it looks more like a black plastic thats faded rather than a nice blue colour. I think I'd have chosen black if given the choice, for that bolder colour.
