Very Reliable Make...
This is my 5th HDD (4TB) which I bought after reliable service of 4th LaCie 2TB HDD. Earlier I had other make but lot of service provider of Destop Computors adviced me to go for LaCie HDD because of withstanding rough handlings. I scraped earlier 2 HDD of other makes because of carrying with me whenever I used to travel frequently. Recently I started Birding which results in having lots of RAW as well as processed formates of Affinity/JPEG images captured on digital mirror less camera. To keep in same I make use of LaCie HDD. I love the shockproof orange colour flexible protection provided on all the four sides which additionally helps in desipating heat. I am quite happy with both LaCie HDDs.

Great for travel photographers / filmmakers
Loved this! Great protection for data. Wonderful travel companion. The rubber protection is great. Read and write speed is also good. Came with USB 3 and USB C cables. (2 cables). Worth it! Portable yet spacious 👌🏻

I'm happy buying this
This product is the rugged one which is one the best in the category. The most amazing thing is, we can partition this disk according to our need whether to work in windows platform or in Mac, Linux platform. Macos encryption enables safety of the data. I feel the product is pricey which includes duty fees. But for some advantages like ruggedness, data protection, disk partition you might not feel about paying those extra bucks. The only disadvantage I found was, the USB connecting cable is slightly loosely attached to the drive, so it is necessary to keep the hard disk in a stable, immovable place. This might be the least minor difficulty when you're looking at the overall performance of the drive.

Connecting issue with Macs
Connection issue with older gen MacBook. It only has USB 3.0 micro-B port connecting to USB 2 which is very slow. They don’t mention anything on the listing about this and this can be misleading and cause problems later as has been the case with me. Been hunting online for an adaptor but no success so far
