I saw a review about a 15 month old struggling to poop and how this helped and I was skeptical, but this has completely saved us. My poor son screamed and strained and cried every poop and only pooped every like 5th day, no matter how much fiber, prune juice, water, warm baths, exercise, etc all the things the pediatrician suggested. I tried this and after a week using it in his water/juice first thing in the morning, it has helped him so much! Now he grunts a bit and then I don’t even notice he’s pooped until I smell it and it’s a nice consistency (sry tmi) but not a hard ball and not diarrhea. Still poops about every two to three days, but it isn’t the saddest and most traumatizing part of all of our day anymore. Also- long story short, he spent majority of his life in critical heart failure and needed to be on adult heart medication, and four different ones twice per day, until recently and these medications did cause constipation and so he never was able to poop well. This product has been a serious life saver and we are so thankful. He has already been through so much, and seeing him struggle with pooping and it hurting and be so uncomfortable was so hard to see. So happy to have found this.

My 4 year old son has had a feeding tube since birth — an ng tube when he was in the nicu & gtube from about 9 months old until current. He’s been taking more orally but still requires his gtube to get the appropriate amount of calories for his age. He’s not quite eating solids yet — that’s a whole work in progress. Between the Pediasure via g-tube, milk, and orgain nutritional shakes, he hasn’t been having regular bms & he’s constipated. I have tried sooo much to get him to go. Pedialax, prune juice, liquid suppositories, etc. They help, but not enough to regulate him. I did a ton more research and found this Zarbees product. Read the reviews from other people and asked my son’s feed team their thoughts. One thing that consistently stuck out in my brain to date is that people have mentioned it takes about a week for it to kick in. I got this about 10 days ago. I started out with one scoop in my son’s nutritional shake. The powder has no smell or taste and it dissolved quickly & he drank it just like he always does. Did this for 72 hours just to make sure all was well. Days 4-7 I put one scoop of the powder in his nutritional shake and one scoop in his milk. Day 8 he had a huge bm that wasn’t rock hard. Day 10 he had another big bm that wasn’t rock hard either. Yay!!! Today is day 11. I will adjust accordingly going forward. The whole point was trying to get his BMs regulated so fingers crossed he can continue on this path! I have zero complaints about Zarbees Regularity Support Prebiotic Powder. You get a good amount of product for the cost. It doesn’t work overnight but I certainly feel like it did what it is intended to do. A scoop is included in the jar of powder for easy measuring. I absolutely recommend this product for any kiddo - whether they are tube fed or not - who has infrequent BMs to help regulate them. Fiber is key & there is 6gs of fiber per serving. I wish I found this years ago. My son has autism and he is sensitive to certain tastes and smells This is orderless and tasteless which is perfect. He had digestive issues since he was born and always had trouble going. He is now regular and is no longer so constantly bloated from being backed up. I would recommend this product to all parents.

Our baby turned 15 months and all of a sudden everytime she needed to poop it was excruciatingly painful. 20+ minutes of straining and crying. She was having prunes and pears every morning/day, eating all the foods listed to aid in bowel movements, lots of water, physically active, the whole list of how to help things work smoothly. And none of it worked. We tried this product and within a week (maybe two) she no longer strained to move her bowels!! She has the 8oz drink first thing every morning and it has been an absolute game changer!! She goes almost every day now with zero discomfort. She was sick recently and we missed three days and her movements went right back to being intensely painful so I KNOW it’s working. When you mix it it’s chalky but if you stir then wait 5-10 minutes it’s clear. This has been an absolute life saver!

This prebiotic has been very gentle on my child. Before using it, my child would cry because she was constipated, and she is very sensitive to juice, dairy, and greasy foods. We still have to closely monitor what she eats, but this product has made a noticeable difference. She is no longer in pain from everything she eats, which has been a huge relief. It’s easy to give, well tolerated, and works without causing cramping or discomfort. While it’s not an instant fix, consistent use has helped keep her regular, making it a solid daily support for digestive health. It is a good value for the money however I wish it was a little bit cheaper, doesn't have a smell, and dissolve quite quickly in juice.
