Its big, its heavy, its awesome
This thing is a beast. My kids can hardly lift it, it doesn't fit in my sink. But I can cook smash burgers in it, 4 of them easily at a time. I can brown off 750g of mince in it, using my gas hob's wok burner. Get the pan hot, throw the huge lump of meat in and it just browns off while I do other things. Its cast iron, so when new, I cleaned it with soap. Threw it on the hob and let it get hot. Rubbed some oil in it with tissue. Let it cool. Repeated a couple of times. Then I just scrub it with hot water and wire wool when it gets dirty, no soap ever and it just works. Maybe let some water soak in the pan before cleaning. I cannot stress how lazy I am, and the days of spending ages scrubbing burnt on crap from stainless steel or destroying yet another teflon pan are over. My wife the other day did scrambled eggs in the pan, threw it in with the pan hot and no oil. I cried, but the pan just did its thing, and no egg was stuck. I could season it properly, I could take better care but I have abused this pan for over 6 months now and it is awesome. I do re oil it once in a while if the pan looks a bit grey or rusty red rather than dark black, but I can do that just by cooking some thing oily in it. The main thing that concerns me is deglazing it, throwing hot water into the pan to clean it of chorizo oily bits that all goes into a naughty chicken and chorizo pealla, after that the non stickyness seems to be worn away somewhat. I have abused a cheapo cast iron pan for many years, it was just too small. I am now abusing this pan in my neglectful manner, and I will never go back to non stick pans again.

Big and beautiful
Massive pan, but great, weighs a bit and had to cut handle of a bit to store in oven, but once you burn it in oven with oil it becomes none stick and will stay none stick if you don't wash it with detergents, just hot water and spray with oil will last fo ever, bonus you can do a big fry up in one pan,so good

Great Cast Iron Starter
This is the first cast iron pan I've bought and I'm glad I did. It does take a bit of work to season it when you get it as it's definitely not pre seasoned and everything will stick to it at first. However after a few seasonings and use it quickly became nearly completely non stick. There's a bit of work involved in cleaning it but if you don't mind that this pan should last forever. It also doubles up as a serving dish which I like the rustic look of when presenting food.

superb cast iron frying pan , very large and fairly heavy , using it on a 5 ring propane burner , cast iron is finished fairly smooth , unlike others , will get decades of use , if oiled regularly , absolute bargain , very happy, thank you , amazon..

A frying pan for life , with good care and maintenance .
A great frying pan but I think I under estimated the size of this , its massive it takes up half the cooker top . Its probably going to last forever , besides the problem of ever carrying this to the bin at any point as it weighs a ton . I think with the recommended care this pan should last a lifetime honestly .

Not ideal
It's enormous, wouldn't reccomend for a glass top cooker as will likely damage it

Interés por la calidad de producto y servicio.
Es un sartén excelente. Se me envió un pequeño manual con instrucciones de cuidado y uso me parece que esto habla de interés por la calidad. Ya hice mi primera pizza y quedó extraordinaria.

Fully satisfied
Very good product. I have been planning a cast iron skillet for a long time (this is my first one). 1. Very thick, heavy as expected. Satisfied with quality. 2. Being first time cast iron user, I was skeptical about food sticking to the pan. Maid got hold of it, and thoroughly scrubbed it with soap.. seasoning looked destroyed. Followed instruction booklet (came with product) and saw few videos on YouTube too.. applied very thin layer of sunflower oil wiped off excess, baked it in oven at 350f, for an hour, face down.. beacame good as new.. almost nonstick. even made an omelette, bhindi dry, chicken patty (required very little oil, slightly more than a good nonstick eg wonderchef diamond).. 3. Handle becomes too hot.. planning to buy a silicone handle. 4. Clean with just salt and normal water.. then just heat it on burner for few min.. becomes totally dry with intact seasoning. Overall, i m happy with it and happy with the price

Great Pan, very happy
I bought this from Amazon Second Hand as a “like new” condition. It was pristine and definitely had not been used. I am used to cast iron cookware so was aware of the fact that they are heavy (why are so many of you surprised by this…?) and that they require care in washing and drying thoroughly. I purchased this size for use on an outside gas burner because it is too large for my indoor induction hob. I used it to cook a Paella and it cooked it perfectly, as expected. It is necessary to know how to cook in cast iron, getting it nice and evenly hot first before adding food and keeping an eye on whatever you are cooking to ensure no burning. I have never cooked eggs in one and wouldn’t even consider that as I always find that eggs are notoriously sticky even in non stick cookware. But for cooking steak, Paella and other such food it is a great addition to my collection of various sizes. The pan itself was perfectly flat and heated evenly with no warping. I washed it with very hot water (no washing liquid) once we had eaten. The Paella had not stuck and so with just a little light brushing the pan was pristine (see photo after use) I thoroughly dried it inside and out and then oiled it well and removed the majority of the oil with kitchen paper until it had a light sheen with no oil stickiness. Of course you have to be careful to not bash it, as again, cast iron is a delicate material if dropped. From reading the negative reviews I can assume either they are scam reviews or that the person has no experience of cast iron cookware. I would not hesitate to buy more although my collection of sizes is fairly large now
