Must have for Air Cooled VW
I purchased these for my bug and my friend got a set for his bus. These nuts are outstanding and will get the job done. You do not need washer if you use the nuts either. These use a 12mm wrench for installation which makes things easier if you have a tight space or heater box. The tops are cut in a way that they act as a lock nut.

Lock nuts should not break apart like these did
I understand that these are supposed to be locking nuts and how locking nuts work but 5 out of 8 of them broke the top locking ring section of the nut off while installing/tightening them down even with anti-seize compound used on the new studs. So at this point the next time I take them off they'll bring the new studs out with them so I'll need another set of studs. Lock nuts should not break apart like these did. And by the way they are just copper flash plated. I'll get some pics and post them.

Copper Exhaust Nuts Work Great!
Great price! Nice nuts to use for exhaust to head, copper does not rust to the head stud making removal much easier with a much less chance of a broken or stripped head stud.
