Pretty good deal.
When I got the shoes/pedals the shoes looked very narrow but, the material of the shoe is very thin and when I put them on they fit just fine. Do not attempt to walk on ice or slick-rock with these shoes because the soles/cleats are somewhat hard and you'll probably slip. I use the shoes and pedals on both my road bike and mountain bike. When you get the shoes/cleats you'll get a sheet that tells you to remove the foot liner and then to remove a pad on the mid-sole so you can attach part of the cleat system. However, you don't have to do that step because the part is already installed on the mid-sole and a pad covers it up on the inside. I installed the cleats mid way for both fore & aft and right & left. Once you get the shoes/cleats you'll see what I mean. When hooked up to the pedal my foot is pretty much parallel with the crank arm and the ball of my foot is centered over the pedal. Also, the shoe is about one inch away from the crank arm. I left the tension with the factory setting and it's just about right for me. I may, in the future, adjust both the tension and cleat mounting if I think they need modifying from what I've got them set at. I usually wear size 10 US for shoes but went with 9 1/2 on these and they fit just fine (not loose and not tight). Also, I removed the insert and put in some Dr. *****'s gel pad inserts which are much more comfortable, especially if I don't wear socks. So far, I'm very satisfied with this purchase and for the money, you can't go wrong. I ordered the pedals for my mountain bike so I wouldn't have a conflict with having to buy different shoes/cleats. Years ago I had some Look cleats/shoes/pedals on my road bike and they worked just fine too but, it was hard walking around in them. With this system I can walk around comfortably. Just remember what I mentioned earlier about the soles being somewhat hard as it may be difficult walking on ice and or slick-rock. Good luck.

No more tired legs and feet.
I am new to road cycling so I bought a Giant Escape 3 a month ago after the guy at the LBS suggested it. I was riding it every other day. My legs and feet were worn out by the second week. I thought I was getting in a pretty good workout for my legs to be that tired. I didn't go out the 3rd week. In that 3rd week I youtubed tired legs for biking and everything came back to clipless pedals and shoes. These are a game changer for me. My feet don't fall asleep any more because of the stiffer souls in these and my legs are not fatigued for short distances anymore.I was going to replace these for Look cleats because the eye of the pedal was much larger. I took both pair out on a ride with me starting off with the Look shoes and just couldn't get my left foot out turning my heel outward only inward towards the wheel (not good). I tried for several rides and only can get my right foot out. On the second part of the ride I switched the pedals and shoes to SPD style and even though the SPD latch is much smaller I do not have any trouble getting out of them.I set the tension to the last click and my foot comes out with no problem. I would recommend these to anyone trying out clipless for the 1st time. Just set the release tension as low as it can go and increase it when you feel more comfortable. I have not falling using them(YET) and I feel comfortable using them everywhere I ride. These can be worn for walking also, with the Looks you are only supposed to do minimal walking in them. Ever see a lady walking in a high heeled shoe without the heel? That's how the Looks felt to me.

Nice shoes
I didn't use the pedals that came with these shoes. But the shoes are nice. Easy to put on and tie. The velcro strap works great and it has a small tab to feed through the loop. I've used them 5 times already and they work great for my MTB trips through the woods. The grips don't let me slip on the dirt when I have to get off the bike.I'd buy them again.

Good Value but had to do a lot of work
We had to cut out some of the sole of the shoe to get the clips installed. Also, the pedals were built backwards. This company needs better quality control when they ship a product. The shoes fit, but like I said, we had to rebuild the pedals and carve out space to get the clips install on the shoes.

Pleasantly Surprised
The price was right for me for this combo. My first experience with clipless pedals and shoes. The quality is as you would expect for something in this price range, nothing too flashy. Spot on with the shoe sizing recommendations , I ordered one size lower than I normally take and they fit perfectly, I'm still playing with the adjustments but I can easily get in and out of the clips haven't fallen yet.

Nice Shoes, tricky pedals.
Shoes fit well and size chart is accurate. Pedals are tricky though. I have the tension turned all the way down (loose) and they don't release unless you want them to. Also, when not clipped in, the pedal is heavier on one side so it spins underneath and you have to try and flip it over to clip back in. This can be pretty challenging on steep and/or rough terrain. When clipped in, they are secure and feel good. Shoes are 5 out of 5, pedals are 2.5.

Doesn't fit in the pedals they were designed for. Don't bother.
I wish the person that designed these could have showen me how this model could possibly fit into the pedals!!! There was no way it was happening without shimming the clip out about 1/8" or cutting the bottom of the shoe down. Bad design. I returned the shoes and pedals.

Price is right and works just fine. Best deal I could find to go clipless
Price is right and works just fine. Best deal I could find to go clipless. I hit the trails as I can on the weekend, but never race. I am serious enough to appreciate the dramatic improvement in experience from clipless, but I am not the kind of person who drools over shaving grams. These work and I see no reason why they would have a dramatically different life span than what I would get for paying way more. I followed the general advice here to go a size smaller than the table suggests and that seems to be working out. maybe a little tighter in the toe area and looser in the ankle than in a shoe that fits me perfectly, but no big deal for the price I'm paying.
