Hey, how do you open the remote tray? My efforts at pushing and pulling haven't worked out... Thanks.

I am not quite sure what you mean by remote tray? Are you trying to change battery on remote controller? There is a tiny slot along openable side you wedge your nail into and pull “drawer” open to change battery- just be sure to note which side up battery is placed in so you can repeat that or you’ll have to do it all again like I did when doesn’t work.... if you don’t have longish finger nails, use a small screw driver or fin knife without hurting yourself please!! Like the little screw driver that comes with eye glasses repair kit, or maybe even a paper clip would work....

How long (hours) will the rechargable candles stay illuminated?

I think they lasted for 24 hrs. I left them on all day (8hrs) for about 3 days before I recharged. They were not even out then but had dimmed some. I am very satisfied with how long they stayed lit.

Anybody? It says it's 7.5 cm in diameter, that's 2.9 in, but you state that it's 3.9 in? So what is the actual diameter?

I use mine at Christmas so they are packed away but I believe they are 3.9 inches. Look very much like a regular pillar candle.

where can I get a longer cable, or one that extends? What kind of end is the plug on the cable called?

Well I don't know, I've had these candles for a long time and you just need to charge them, you program them and last for 5 days average. I love then. I think I will order another set.
