Exciting, engaging with amazing illustration
This book is so lovely! The art style is very appropriate and welcoming, and the colors are beautiful. The plot is paced well, and we quickly get to know each character. There is enough mystery to keep me wondering what will happen next, and I am eager for a second volume to come out, if there will be one. This is a great graphic novel for young teens and up--anyone can enjoy, especially if you love food.

Fine. Just fine.
Eh. It was fine. It ends in a cliff hanger and there's no sequel. Also most of the characters' lips look like chocolate milk mustaches.

Masterchef meets a fantasy dystopia in comic form
*I received this book as an eARC from Image Comics via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review*The world in this book is so different than any I've seen before. It's a fantasy setting where the culinary arts are the center of everything. Chefs must be registered. There's a fancy academy for cooks-in-training. The worldbuilding is so cool.I'd say this book is Masterchef meets a fantasy dystopia. There's even a crepe recipe at the end! I give this book a 4/5. It's so unique. I'm excited to see where this series goes.

So much fun!
Great whimsical little comic like Hunger Games except instead of killing folks you have to win a cooking competition, oh, and dogs talk. Amazing writing, amazing art. More of Xoo's story please.
