Replaced residential quality with this light commercial quality passage door handle. This handle style was an exact match with the preexisting handles and is much more robust.

Very sturdy and well made with no plastic parts. Schlage is known for its high quality and excellent finish. Smooth ease after installation. I had another Schlage lock and my locksmith was able to rekey one of the keys so that both keys would work perfectly. Very impressive. And yes ladies a new lock or deadbolt is VERY EASY to install. If I can do it anyone can. The rekey job had to be done by my local locksmith.

Good replacement for the lowest bidder door sets found in most modern homes. They are made overseas now but the lever set and accompanying hardware (striker plate, etc) are of good quality and will certainly be stronger than a modern residential interior door and frame.

They work well and look good. We got them to match Delta's champagne bronze color, they aren't exact but are as close as you can get.

Works as it should. Wish the handle was a bit longer though.

I use only Schlage locks and hinges. All their locks interchange so one room can have a different handle then the other room. Color style etc. having only Schlage in stock affords the ability to swap things around.

I had a high use exterior door on a rental home whose doorknob malfunctioned and I had to replace it. This door uses a separate deadbolt lock for security that still works fine; I just needed the replacement passage knob. I selected this one because I wasn't sure I needed a commercial strength knob, but I definitely wanted something more durable than the cheap doorknobs you can find anywhere. This "light commercial" grade knob looked like it would fill the bill and was priced lower than a commercial knob and about double the price I'd have paid for a regular residential knob. This one fit in the space of the old doorknob fine. I didn't even have to install the latch plate on the opposing door jamb and was able to leave the existing one in place. But I did have to chisel out the corners of the impression of the door for the latch plate on the door side. The original doorknob had a plate with curved edges, and this one is square. But that took just a couple minutes to do and it fits fine. I guess square fittings are more common for commercial use doorknobs. Everything else went together just like the instructions indicated, although there were several parts included that I didn't need to use, including what looked like extra plate covers or fittings for the door and door jamb. Don't throw away the instructions, there is a link listed on them that you can use for filing a warranty claim. The doorknob seems to be solid and has smooth movements and I am hopeful I'll get many years from this one. I think the category of "light commercial" is appropriate for the item and the price, and I'll update this review if the doorknob falters prematurely.

I bought this to pair with a smart deadbolt and am very impressed with the build quality and feel of the handle.

We buy these schlage commercial ("CS" - fire rated) levers in batches. When needed, we go to our sources to see who has the best pricing and 2 - 3 times now we've purchased them from Amazon. Great quality, looks good, and works for our application.
