Great cards
Great product, I started using these with my nephew around age 2 1/2 and he looks foward to doing them and has learned a lot of the words. I believe the pictures help a lot as he will know what the item or object is called when asked randomly. Recommend

decent set especially when used with other available sets
This set of 86 cards covers a large range of topics -- people, parts of the body, fruit, vegetables, clothes, colors, animals, numbers, things in nature, and items in the house. Because this set covers so many topics, nothing is covered with a lot of depth. For instance, numbers are only covered up to 10 and only 8 parts of the body are covered. This is a very selective vocabulary set. There are a lot of flash card sets available on Amazon. Frequently, they duplicate topics and that is no exception with this set. FlashKids has another set called "Listo para la Escuela" that cover shapes, colors, animals, numbers and letters. Another set "Colors and Shapes" by Brighter Child is heavily focused on colors and another set, again by FlashKids, covers animals and fruit in conjunction with the alphabet and is called "Alphabet". I think if you want to create a fairly comprehensive set, combining this "Spanish" set and "Listo para la Escuela" will give you and your student a good amount of material to study. The cards are created so that the child can study multiple things. In the image gallery, you can see the word "hombre" which is presented on a purple background so the child can study the name of a person and be asked to talk about the color on the card. This is the same format with other cards. Kids might see the word "la ventana" on a green background and then if the parent/teacher flips the card a picture of a window will appear and "la ventana" will be written out again. The cards are accompanied by the item's article so kids can learn whether an item is masculine or feminine early on.An element that may be undesirable is that the cards frequently provide a Spanish word and then place the English word on the same side of the card -- not on the opposite side of the card. This could be limiting for teachers and parents who wish to teach a Spanish word and then flip the card to the English equivalent. FlashKids does this with all of their cards. While it is possible to cover the word you don't want presented with your hand, it would have been much more convenient if the manufacturer had just placed Spanish on one side and English on the other. The cards are of decent quality and could take some minor abuse from young learners. In addition to learning a lot of vocabulary, children could be asked to match cards based on their color or to find all the cards with parts of the body. These cards are made in China.

Exactly what I thought would be! Has a long list of words both in English and Spanish, my baby is now 13 months and she points out some animals, colors and different things in both languages. Its a great buy!

High quality
The media could not be loaded. Good quality cards for their value, like the activities you can do with them and the pictures and meanings in the back
