The Bloody Chamber: And Other Stories: 75th-Anniversary Edition (Penguin Classics Deluxe Edition)

Inverted fairy tales which are very tantalising and evocative

Loved the very first story "The Bloody Chamber". It's really a fantastic read and the "Gothic horror" is quite visceral at times. It sets a high bar that the rest of the book doesn't always live up to. Worth a try.

I bought it for the story "The Bloody Chamber". That's the only one I have read so far. It's still holds up as social horror with a subtle layer of eroticism. Physical construction of the book also is excellent.

Excellent product with an excellent service to match !

Me llegó con las hojas mal cortadas y es un tacto un poco incómodo, pero como me gusta el libro y no lo encontraba en inglés en otro sitio por ese precio me lo he quedado. SI tuviera que comprarlo otra vez me lo pensaría

Her prose is poetry, her stories blur the line between pleasure and horror. One of the last, true, artists of storytelling.
