Net10 Alcatel MyFlip 4G Prepaid Flip Phone (Locked) - Black - 4GB - Sim Card Included - CDMA

Nice basic phone for my 79 year old mother. I work for Safelink Wireless which is own by net10 which net10 is own by trac phone. It's a carrier through California Life Line program which is also known obama phone. Well my mom cant use smartphone she is tough to learn something new like a smartphone so I bought this flip phone so I can use the sim of Safelink. I like it for her. It has more things then she need. But anyway's letter are big which is a plus. And Safelink work great I don't even have to program the apn. Internet works also. I'm happy hopefully it last for a while. I like the second screen too. Oh and it's LTE also instead 3g or 2g. I would buy this again.

The sole reason for the rating is due to it being a very basic phone, so the main purpose of the phone is voice calling and the call sound/quality is terrible!!!! Many people say they cannot hear, and even with phone close to mouth it is hard to understand and hear my spouse who uses phone. I am one of the people who have hard time hearing and understanding him and this has not been a issue prior to using this particular phone. He sounds like he has phone somewhere else in room when it is up to his face (speaker phone feature is not engaged). I cannot in good conscience recommend this phone to anyone as it is now.

Works as intended, bought for my grandfather who’s old flip phone stopped working. A little harder to get the hang of than a regular flip phone, the software is definitely different, but not impossible. Just have to take the time to learn how it works and get the hang of it.

It’s small and easy to use especially for older users.

Needed a good basic Net10 flip phone to replace a broken phone, the only good thing about this phone is the large buttons making it easy for people with large fingers. The ringtones are all too quiet for a senior who is hard of hearing, unable to add a custom ring phone and you are not able to have ring and vibrate on at the same time. After 2 aggravating hours on the phone with Net10 I was finally able to get the phone activated with the same phone number. Couldn't understand the customer support person, obviously from another country. They were not able to transfer the days/minutes from the old phone for some unknown reason. When this phone dies (hopefully sooner than later) I will not use Net10 or Tracfone ever again.

My 86 year old mother can use it just fine, so I would think just about anyone could. Simple!

This seems to be about all you can get in a non-smart flip phone. My Dad uses it. He does not like it compared to the older model of this same phone. They made it harder to use adding Data and GPS. To me the quality is very bad. The camera button is placed so you turn on the camera most of the time opening the phone. We put tape and cotton on it so it won't come on...new phone...cotton and tape...you get the picture.

Ted wanted to use 4G but the phone kept getting 3G so I suggested he get a smart phone. Nothing wrong with this phone.
