I have these on my iPads and iPods and they are tough, just as described. I have dropped them without any damage. And they look great too. They do add bulk but the protection they provide expensive electronics makes that of little issue to me. A bit difficult to put on but look at the pictures and follow the instructions. It fits like a glove so that is the reason it's a bit of a tight fit. One of the best features is that this is a complete case with a clear cover that cannot fall off. No more sheets of plastic that I never could put on without lots of bubbles. And this screen is much tougher. It just snaps on between the front and back panels and it is not coming apart! A must have.

We've used the old style griffin cases in the past and thought this would be equal in quality but it's not. the screen cover doesn't fit right and so there isn't always good contact. Disappointed in the quality of the new covers. Seems less bulky then the old style but that's about the only plus.

We purchased this for my 7 year old after getting him a used iPod 4th generation for Christmas. It functions well in terms of providing protection, and preventing the glass from shattering after dropping it (he's dropped it a few times on the tile floor already, and no scratches or cracks yet). It was very disappointing, however, to learn that the case prevents docking and charging on the iPod home products. We had to purchase an additional cord to run from the iPod home clock to the iPod itself. That is the only reason this has four stars instead of five.

The Griffin Survivor cases are by far the most protective and most well built cases I've ever seen. Beats Otterbox hands down. I recently ordered my second case after my first one wore out (had it for over a year). I will never buy a different case. The rubber type material is quite sturdy and doesn't easily strech like other cases. However, after extended use the port covers begin to come off, for me at least. The plastic is tough and keeps everything covered. The port and camera covers are great (some people find them annoying, I like the extra protection). This case has kept my iPod safe and sound through numerous drops, rain, being dropped in the toilet, dust, scratches, etc.. While it's not 100% waterproof (it's not suposed to be) it holds up to rain, minimal submersion, etc. For the amount of protection it provides the case actually fits in my pockets easily. The belt clip is also quite sturdy and is a nice carrying option.If you're looking for serious protection, the Griffin Surivor will do the job.

Gift for 10 year old's itouch. Great fit. Screen protector nice and buttons are easy to press. Easy to put on and take off. Durable and protects device from minor drops and day to day wear and tear

This is the second survivor case I bought for my son. It is an awesome product! He drops it, throws it, and no damage at all! He can be as rough as he wants, I never have to worry about it. He just wore out the first one and I got this second one for him in the Black/Citron. I love the color. It is easy to find in the yellow.

Perfect on my six-year-old and his new iPod touch. Very durable. The four star rating is due to the fact that you have to take a piece of rubber out in order to use the camera which is difficult for little thing. But overall a great product.
