I purchased these to turn a regular lockable door from my living area to the hallway into just a push to close door. It was very simple to drill the top of the door and install these ball catch hardware. I feel they are very durable, slip resistant, and improved the door openability to make better sense to me. I also have these type ball catch doors on all my closets, and am going to order this brand to replace the existing Ball Catch Hardware. The stainless steel is very attractive and the feel of the Hardware is more heavy duty than the existing. A great buy for sure.

This worked exactly as it was designed, but the instructions for installing it were not the greatest. When attaching the strikeplate, it is important to make room for the three "bumps" on the underside of the plate (the two screw holes and the opening within which would sit the ball bearing). I used drill bits and drilled shallow holes for this purpose and it worked very well...but NOTHING was stated about this in the instruction sheet. It did, however, work exactly as I needed it to. I would even say it was a good value. I will likely buy and install more of these.

Worked great early to install perfecto fit for my doors

I installed these today. I drilled a 3/4 inch hole straight down in the top of the door. about 2/3 inch deep. I didn't carve out where the plates attach, but it still looks pretty good. Close and open the door a few times it leaves a mark on the door jam so you know where to install the strike plate. After installing the ball and spring in the door I drilled the hole in the door jam using the 3/4 inch bit and wiggled it to the left and right to get it ablong. All this might sound messy, but it gets covered by the strike plate. So far, they are working great. And they are easily adjustable up and down by turning the ball and spring housing. Great for keeping double doors closed but not locked.

This is a replacement for the first one they sent (it was obviously used). This one works perfectly.

These worked really great. My doors used to rattle in the wind but these worked perfectly and the fact that they were adjustable made them even better

It did it's work. Although it's latch is not very hard but it's quite good.
